May have a problem, my vat had an existence failure and the resin got all the way to the board. Have to order a new screen due to ripping the cable as well.

Hi all! Thanks for the ad! I planning to buy a new resin printer but cant make a decision, should I buy the elfin or a Photon S? I read plenty reviews but still don't know what to buy. Can you help me out why should I buy the Photon S? Thanks!

Really need help at the moment with switching to new resin. I've got some Elegoo Grey 'ABS like photopolymer resin'. I'm still reasonably new to resin printing. Used the settings recommended. had a couple of half decent prints and then keep getting issues like this. The supports keep detaching and then the parts become misshaped (especially the back of this helmet but generally all over). It's not a big piece and it is hollowed out so it's very light. Any ideas please? Ready to throw resin in the bin. The recommended settings are here

Hi everyone. Since a couple of weeks I´m working on a customizer tool for miniatures (similar to heroforge), but also with dragons, beast creatures, spiders and stuff like that. As a test, I shared my Owlbear for free on my profile at myminifactory: https://www.myminifactory.com/users/Rober%20Rollin My own print with a resin printer turns out pretty smooth, but it would be awesome if you could also give it a try and give me some feedback. I want to create the best possible tool for you. Regards.

I've recently tried printing 70% Standard resin and 30% Siraya Tenacious. I keep getting failed prints about half way through and they look like it was ripped apart. I'm not sure if my exposure settings are wrong or what. I have a Photon S and trying to use 0.02 or 0.03 mm later height.

Anyone have any experience with Tenacious?

So last night I made a rookie mistake. I was in a hurry to get a print going before I went to sleep and I didn’t check to make sure my buildplate was tightened. Usually I tighten it when I put it back on. This morning I got up and went to remove the prints and the knob was just loose. The buildplate freely moved through the entire print.

I assumed the entire print was going to be ruined. The supports had wiggles in them but somehow then prints were fine. I could tell the first layer or two shifted as the pad had a thin flap of cured Resin on one edge. But here are my prints still wet from the rinse.

i have an ideea/question regarding exposure settings. would it be safe to make the following calculation? 8 bottom layers at 60s, normal exposure 10s for 005 layer height, for a temperature of around 23 C. this is the standard for the Original Photon. for clear resin, or warmer temperature, decrease exposure time by 1s. for smaller layer height (002) decrease exposure by half (10s for 005, 5s for 002). for colder enviroments, increase exposure by 1-2 s. for Photon S, decrease exposure time by about 40% (6s instead of 10s for normal layer at 005). how close am i to a unified theory of everything regarding this? :D

Any hints on removing supports from minatures? Im using the flat edge cutters as recommended, but they just end up shattering the minature into pieces, even if im as gentle as posible... ive tried before curing and after with same results. Could it be the resin or the exposure time (I'm using anycubic grey resin, and the default exposer time in photon slicer, 10 seconds).
