hello guys!! i am using an elegoo abs-like resin!! but i dont know how strong it is!! does anyone test it somehow??? i want to make something for my fmd printer( a part), cause i cant use atm my fdm to make it from petg, cause something broke :D

so my idea is to make that part i want from resin just to hold enough for 1-2 print to be able my fdm to work again , and then to print that part again with petg! mind blow! :D

Hi all! I've got this little Mr Fatty Adonis which I would like to print as huge as possible. I did not place any supports yet and I think there wont be so many necessary. I would like to print him as huge as possible and actually I dont care about resin usage. How would you print this guy?

• Is it possible to print him straight up without hollowing or will it rip of my fep?

• if I hollow him with a bigger wall thickness I am going to have small caves especially in the armpit which are not connected to any other bigger hollow parts so its hard to place drain holes without destroying the body

any advice?

• what would be a good wall thickness for bigger models?

Aftermarket FEP?

I recently bought a pack of Dotbit FEP for my Photon. The first one I replaced lasted 3 prints then split at the edge of the tank causing resin to run through the LED into the machine. Ruined and thrown in bin as not salvageble. I bought a new Photon and continued to use the Original tank plus replaced FEP and after a week it has like creases in the film that ruined the print.. Yes it was tensioned correctly. Looks like bodgy FEP. Or have I missed something?

I keep having this issue on the right side of the printer. Tons of odd layer lines and these strange goopy sheets of odd printing mayhem. I changed the fep, releveled, reshootkand filtered the resin, cleaned out the vat and still this.... looks like a potential lcd issue? But I just replaced that a few months ago...

FDM pieces were printed on my Creality CR-10 at 0.1mm using Hatchbox Gray.
Anycubic Photon at .05mm using Elegoo ABS-like Gray for the heads and hands.

I printed everything at 100%, but the resin pieces are slightly larger in scale. Anybody ever run into this before? Or any ideas why that’s the case?
