My first ever 3D print (just got the Photon today!). It took nearly 6 hours to do, is that quite normal for this test?

Also, does anyone have experience of operating the printer in a colder part of the house (say the garage) but keeping the resin at a decent temperature inside the house right up until printing?

Siraya Blu Clear, lots of inks & washes & a whole lot of time. I did try painting inks mixed with resin and curing each layer of 'paint', but it didn't work as well as just using inks and washes. Model by Printed Obsession off 1440 Makers charity drive on gumroad.

First post on here and fairly new to the Photon. Had no real problems with AnyCubics green and white resin. Just trying Elegoo ABS like grey resin. Cannot get it to print. I ran an XP Finder on it no problems, but running actual print it keeps sticking to the FEP, Tried two prints both same. Reset the build plate and ran the XPFinder again. tried to print again, same result. Any thoughts please.

I’m having this issue where I get sheets of hardened resin stuck to the bottom of the vat, which are sometimes pulled up by surrounding material as seen in the photo, but often left at the bottom of the tank too. They seem to form around the central area of the tank and the prints otherwise come out fine. I’ve tried the UV test and a couple dry runs and haven’t noticed anything untoward. Anyone else have similar problems? Is this indication that it’s time too replace the screen?

EDIT: Also my screen is ~1.5 years old so based on what I've read I'm lucky it's lasted this long.

Firstly, sorry its my 1st go actually using the resin exposure finder method and I want to get it right before i do a 12 hour print on this new resin :D

1st photo is back lit with LED lamp, 2nd just camera night mode rather than flash.

Am i looking at 8 or 9 here perhaps? so 16/18 seconds? Seems quite high Elegoo ABS like grey resin

Some times even after cleaning with IPA you get weeping from the drain holes in hollow prints. This because the uncured resin on the inside forms an emulsion with the IPA. The UV lamp can't reach the inside so it remains a liquid. I have solved this problem by inserting a UV LED through the drain holes for about 5 minutes. This hardens the internal emulsion.
You can make your own UV light by utilising a USB powered plug and old USB cable. A 147 ohm resistor and a 5mm UV LED. I attach a picture of the circuit. If you are not up to making your own I may be able to help. Hope this helps. Cheers. Bruce
