Should i change the usb comes with the machine? I've got 2 errors during the print saying the usb is not working and need to plug in-out.

My workflow this weekend once my printer started cranking parts out (finally):

1.) Prusa Slicer, Generating Supports
2.) Prusa Slicer setting up next build plate for supporting
3.) Chitubox, Hollowing models
4.) Chitubox, Putting holes in hollow models
5.) Chitubox, Slicing.

I had all of these going at once, while streaming on the side...It worked pretty well, and I didn't have much downtime waiting for calculations. Putting holes in models always comes with an annoyingly long pause, glad I figured out things to do as I wait, this started with just prepping build plates full of stuff as STLs, but I noticed I did that way quicker than the hollowing and holes steps, so I started to do more and more. After about 26 files done like this, my computer sorely needed a restart, but hey, productive Saturday :)

Tonight I find out what went wrong on my last print on Sunday that caused z=0 to start in the wrong spot. Hopefully the FEP is ok, heard a noise, but it was too late at night to work on it.

Siraya Easy, with Monocure Platebond is working out for me now that I re-did my z=0. Such a crucial part of the machine set-up. And with Siraya Easy it really didn't have much room for error. Tough resin to use.

Hi, i am looking to buy my first resin printer, been using fdm for a while and i need to print small models with high details which are beyond what fdm can achieve so i've been following this group and read a lot of stuff about the photon s, mostly bad but is it really not worth it getting it instead of the normal photon? I would totally get the epax x1 since its 400$ now and the photon s is roughly the same but shipping and customs would cost me the same as the printer so i can only choose between the normal photon and the S as anycubic offers free shipping to my country. I learned a lot about resin printing, use of both printers and comunity tools from this group so i would appreciate some reccomendation backed by good arguments, which is the better machine? I already know the technical details of both machines, so tell me something from user experience

Thank you in advance!

Decided to exchange my Photon after a series of really weird issues. Awaiting my replacement machine, but have started looking at the ePax x1. This may not be the right group, but do you guys think it's worth an extra $100 to upgrade to that over the Photon?

Main upgrades:
Ships (supposedly) fully leveled and calibrated
More powerful LCD
Upgraded Z rail
Firmware includes anti-aliasing capabilities by default

Kingdom Death - do you guys have any of their miniatures?

Any idea how close prints on the Photon are in output quality to those from Kingdom Death minis??

- they are DLP printed on EnvisionTEC CDLM machine and earlier on EnvisionTEC Perfrctory

Ok so just finished first print on the photon. I am in love with this machine. The detail is insane and allowed me to go to town with the paints. Base done on ender 3 (needs a touch up)

Thought i'd pop this up. Got the PLA resin in last week. So far it seems thinner than the usual stuff and it doesn't smell as strong but it still smells when the machine is pottering away.

It was bound to happen! First missed print... but hey not the machines fault user error... went to bed did not add resin...lol.. just look at the beautiful layer lines layer by layer as it ran out ... im keeping this... it shows well how small each layer is...same model...and trooper finished...

I’ve ran into this weird issue with a couple of longer prints. I’ve made sure everything is leveled, got the vat and the build plate tightened down, but during the print I get this weird shift (circled in blue in the photo). The first time this happened I noticed the knob holding the build plate seemed a little loose, so I thought I must have not tightened it down completely. I printed the same file again, no obvious problems. Ran it again and I noticed the shift you see in the photo and that the knob on the build plate was loose when I pulled the build plate off the machine. I went back to look at the previous print I thought was flawless and I found a very subtle shift at about the same layer. Has anyone else ran into an issue of their build plate knob loosening during the course of printing? Or have I diagnosed my issue incorrectly and it’s something else?
