My wife thinks I'm crazy for getting so excited about a new ultrasonic cleaner but this thing was less than 52 bucks on eBay with free shipping and it holds two liters of isopropyl makes the old one look tiny

lmao I did a figure with a large base flat on the bed for ease...I literally can't get it off, I tried hot water, I tried IPA around the whole base. It is so stuck, did I read somewhere that sticking it in the fridge or freezer helped? I searched but I couldn't find it...I been whacking at it with a metal and my plastic spatula for 15 minutes now

Hello people (not English native), I been using my Photon S for two weeks and I have the feeling I'm doing something wrong, I don't think my prints are horrible but by looking other people prints ended looking inferior. I don't know if the answer is in the print parametres or the resing I'm using or a combination of the two... or maybe something else. I have been using the green resin that comes with the printer, and I bought it in a bundle with 5 liters of Anycubic resin (Red, Orange, Grey, Maroon, White) and using the layer and color parameters I found in the "Anycubic Photon Resin Settings" spreadsheet. So, I leave photos of my prints and in them are the parameters I use, the before and after when adding grey primer and brown wash paint, the Chutibox file and some examples of superior prints on a regular Photon. Thanks.

Hello Photonsters. I hope admins will not delete this post.

If someone is around the Swansea area in the UK and looking to get a spare fully functional photon you might be interested. I am selling both my printers (I am literally, crying) since I am moving... to another place.

I've been struggling with the photon for over two months now. I've gone through over a liter of resin for less than 10 successful prints. My main problem is that the prints do not adhere to the build plate. I have tried (1) adding washers to the build plate to prevent the arm from colliding with the vat, (2) reinforcing the z axis with a zip tie to prevent screeching sounds, (3) lubricating the z axis with lithium grease, (4) printing out the models at an angle with plenty of supports, (5) raising the temperature of the room over 25 C, (6) shaking the resin before using it, (7) leveling the plate before each print with either the paper method or the flint method, (8) increasing the exposure time / decreasing the layer height, (9) trying different resins / different brands, (10) replacing the FEP film. It's reached the point where I'm sinking more time into the photon than any other aspect of the project I purchased it for. Is there anything else I can try before giving up on this thing and buying a new printer?

UPDATE Sept. 11: Yesterday I printed 4 models with a 100% success rate! I achieved this by increasing the bottom layer exposure time to 180 seconds and removing all supports. This morning, I tried to print the same part with the same settings but with supports and the model tilted 15 degrees. The model stuck to the FEP once the supports had finished printing! Is the moral of the story that I need to avoid supports?? :o

UPDATE Sept. 14: The supports were not the main issue, and after that short string of successes all my prints started failing again. Long story short- I upgraded Chitubox and took the lifting speed down to 30 mm/min, raised the lifting distance to 10 mm, and that seemed to do the trick!! I now think it was the lifting speed/ lifting distance all along.

Bought 3 liters of anycubic maroon, one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. After searching the group it appears many have had issues with it.

I've started mixing it with some anycubic green, should it be 50/50 to get the best adhesion? I was still having issues with a 70/30 mix.

Just received my Photon! Camera distorts colours, but this is my first print using the pink PLA resin. Came out perfect, really satisfied with it. Very low odour too, I have the printer running in my study and I literally don't notice any odour (I removed the inside fan which helps too).

As I am new to resin printing, and I'm sure this has been asked before... What is everyone's "go-to" resin? I have an Anycubic Photon that'll be at my front door in a week. (won one in a patreon drawing) and I know NOTHING about resin printers.

I appreciate the help, and yes, I know the search function works, but seeing as i have literally 3 minutes right now, I figure'd this would net me better results.

Again, thank you all for any info you can pass my way.

My Photon literally just arrived and as excited as I am to get started, I need to pick up a few of the cleaning supplies which are, apparently, not as easy to find here (Australia) as in the US.

Are there any helpful Aussie users that could point me in the direction of 99% Isopropyl Alcohol supplies? I can pick up nitrile gloves, safety glasses, and breathing protection from Bunnings but isopropanol is harder to source.
