Guys I have a Photon S which came with the ".PWS" firmware, I put supports in Chitubox and slice with photon workshop 2.0.23.

I have what I think are slicer issues.

It looks to me like Photon Workshop is putting "supports" (more like solid pieces) which I didn't ask for, during slicing. Most often they're annoying or break models, plugging vents and filling under the skate (These really print like this). Is there any way to stop it from doing that? I've tried playing around in the auto support settings, but to no avail.

So it seems that even with the much stronger inline fan system and the active carbon tank to get rid of the smell my GF still has an issue with the fumes (which granted to some extent i also can smell) so my last resort is that i would get rid of the 5L extra resin that came with my printer order (all 5Ls are unopened) and swtich to Elegoo or comparable low oder resin instead.

So the question is this: Is there anybody in this group that would be interested to take this 5L resin off my hands at a fair price? I'm located in Hungary so ideally if there are hungarian users i would prefer that to avoid high shipping costs but if someone from EU is interested and wouldn't mind the shipping costs feel free to throw me a message.

I will be away for the month of October so if anyone is interested we can get to an agreement earliest in November.

My Eurocopter Tiger UHT build is progressing nicely.

Failed at 85% not sure if it just a support issue or what. I'm using Prusa 2.0 to set up the file and slicing in Anycubic. Seems about every 3rd or 4th print is a failure. I've re-leveled the bed based on the thing 3 times already. anyone got any suggestions? Thanks

I feel like the old slicer gave better auto supports. Anyone else get supports like this on the Photon Workshop 2.0.23 slicer?

Also I noticed if I right click on an object the text is missing in the menu? Anyone else have this issue?

Hi guys For those like me who have Photon Printers , I have Gen 1 all metal and A Photon S ...if you did like me (DOHH,I always check the read me files with any upgrade whatsoever usually but not this time … dang) and you updated to the firmware update P_V 341.bin well unless you use chitubox and save your file to Stl and then use Photon Workshop V2.0.23 to slice and get a PWS file format >>> the Photon S will not see any other Files Format then .PWS So I opened a Ticket with Anycubic and I Got this morning the Old Firmware version 2.9 so I will upload it to the group file if you want to downgrade the firmware like me to be able to use only Chitubox to arrange and slice the Stl to the Correct File format to be use with the Photon S … enjoy

Hello,

a week ago I bought a Photon S and already printed some nice things.

But I have a problem with the slicer software. I am using the software from Anycubic (Photon_WorkShop_V2.0.23_Basic_Edition) and my Photon S has firmware.

When I slice the finished stl file, it sometimes happens that the Photon software suddenly closes. This always happens when the generated file gets quite big. It seems that this problem always occurs when the generated pws file becomes larger than one GB. The largest file I could create was about 1 GB. This is especially the case when I use layer thicknes=0.01 (then the file becomes big). For smaller models this also works.

Does someone else have the same problem?

With the old slicer software the photons files are much smaller, but my photon can't read them.

So I wanted to ask if you can downgrade firmware?

Has anyone else had an issue with the Photon Validator 2.0 freezing when converting the file using AA?

For some reason mine keeps freezing around the 532 layer height mark (total of the file is around 780 layers).

Don't know if its a resources thing or what. I'm using a laptop that's just under 6 months old and works fine for everything else.
