My UV oven I built. About 60w of leds in there now, but I have a meanwell 150w supply strapped to the outside and can easily double my output.

Finally 100% decent output for my 1/72 german figures after +/- 8 attempts. (surprisingly the photon also print the kar98 barrel on this scale perfectly)

6 layers bottom (90s each)
12s exposure
.03 layer
Chitubox autosupport medium + manually added on some hanging parts
Anycubic black
Each figure is 26mm tall (printed on 30 degrees angle)

Any military scale-modeller around here?

Here is a WW stromberg carby I designed in sketchup and want to try to get it printing at it's best on the photon. Using the small supports seems to fail, but medium works. Printing level wont work at all as I have detail on the bottom of the carb as well. So I have it angled at 30 degrees. I am running into problems with loss of detail on the areas at the base (closest to the plate), as well as the 'thickness' others have mentioned in this area. These pics show a print at 1/10 and 1/25 scale.

Though I am happy it is a passable result, I would like to get the best detail possible using Monocure rapid grey. Sliced at .01 with exp set at 6sec, 5 base layers at 60sec, with 1 sec light off time. would anyone be able to recommend what areas I can tweak this in order to best improve output?

If all else fails I will end up molding and casting the thing in resin, but would rather be able to reliably print them instead. Oh also I printed 3 of the 1/25 scale in the same batch, all 3 came out with different amounts of detail loss on the base area closest to the plate. Reasons this could happen?

Went to the local makerspace and they showed me their Form 2 and we printed this sweet canopy for my drone. Its flexible but more rigid than TPU and reacts to blacklight really nice. This is the form 2 durable resin. What would be an equivalent resin for the Photon to get this type of result?

Hello friends. I thought I'd share with you my latest achievement on the Anycubic Photon: Zariel from Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes! She's a badass fallen angel from that D&D book. The free stl link is here: https://www.shapeways.com/product/ZMPMYNW22/zariel

In other news, my Army Reserve service is this weekend thus my 3D output will be limited. However I'm going to take full advantage of Friday and host another 3D modeling marathon!

From 0730 EST to 4pmish I'm going to model as many Patreon requests as possible while playing smooth jazz and being very Bob Ross lol. If you guys were every curious about my modeling methods you can join me here: https://www.twitch.tv/mz4250/

Hope to see you guys there! Take care and happy printing!

First attempt at printing this model on my Epax. The sizes came out wrong. Is there a setting in Chitubox that I don’t know about that will import a file at the size it was created at? I decided the model into 2 and after fiddling with zbrushs scale master plug in (I may have screwed that part up cuz this was my first time using that plugin, but both halves were treated as one model, just exported separately..... I think). It just seems that when chitubox imports something, it sort of arbitrarily sizes it.
Going to be diving deeper into scale master and general output sizing in zbrush later today, but any advice on chitubox would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Posting here cuz I figured I’d get a faster response then on the epax site.

Anyone have a clue what's going on? I installed before testing because I got excited. I'm powering with a 12V output. If I jiggle the area between the ones that are on and off, almost all the lights go off. You can see them barely on at the top of the bucket when I jiggle the wire.

I really didn't want to bug the group so early in ownership, but I've read/search the group repeatedly, and can't find a solution. I've been trying to create replacement ceramic Christmas tree toppers. I've got the base supports fine. However, I can not get the bottom two tips to take hold.

When I tried ChiTuBox, adding supports (Even using the settings by the video that's recommended here frequently with the sphere attaching points), ChiTuBox leaves 4 layers of empty space between the top of the support and the arm. I moved up higher, making the point of the star almost to the bottom of the sphere. Still leaves 4 empty layers between the support and where the star point starts (Leaving a large crosssection by that point). The bottom is fine, so it seems like something like the fine point. ChiTuBox output throws Photon File Validator for an absolute fit as well, leaving MANY layers with rogue pixels going upwards.

I changed back to the Anycubic slicer, and did the same thing, except I just left defaults. I used a heavy support middle of the base of the star, then one for each of the points, adding some medium supports higher to help. Export, and Photon File Validator gives no errors. However, it never transitions from the point of the support to the star, even with the point of the star buried decently into the support.

I'm including photos of my last attempt. I forgot to take a picture of it with the supports on, but I circled the diagram where the star points end up starting.

50um layers, calibrated my resin, levelled my bed, cleaned all surfaces, levelled bed again (Even though never had a bed level issue), cleaned glass. Nothing seems to help.

Any help would be GREAT!

Not long ago, unfortunately, the Notre Dame Cathedral was burned.
I printed out 3D with a heart of regret and love for the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral.

Recently, a sophisticated stl file was uploaded to myminifactory, so I downloaded it and printed it out with gratitude.

The downloaded stl file consists of three files.
facade, nave, roof

The output was carried out in the following process.

First, I scaled it so that I could print as large as possible with a photon printer.

To save the resin, each section was hollowed to 1.8 mm.
I made as many drain holes as I could.

I did not rotate each part from the horizontal plane. Because each part does not have a large area attached to the platform, it seems that the main body will not be separated from support.

Support is placed between 1.5 mm ~ 2 mm apart.

The output was very good and the details were very well represented.
I'm very satisfied.

Looking at this 3D model, I hope the Notre Dame Cathedral will be rebuilt as soon as possible.
