My Photon arrived yesterday and I have a few questions about operation. I plan to use a laptop to connect to the printer. What software and/or hardware will I need to do this other than what is on the provided flash drive and a USB cable? If number 1 isn't a good setup, what is the largest in size flash drive can I use for file transportation? Are there any good Youtube videos that explain how to do things?

I wanted to run an idea by you guys. I have some clear resin coming, and I thought it would be neat to print clear dice, and have a negative space in the center, like a skull, or literally anything really. I would also have a small hole leading from the outside of the dice to the negative space, that I could stick a needle through and inject resin into, which I could then just cure from the outside, since the dice would be clear. Then to fill in the hole, inject clear resin and hit with more UV. What do you guys think? As dice, would they roll well as long as they're completely solid like this, or is there a chance they could be "weighted"? Is there a better way to do this? Any problems I may come across? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Like a few others, I just ordered a Photon for the Black Friday sale. I have been watching a bunch of Youtube videos to get up to speed. I did have a dumb question I was hoping the group could answer. A lot of the videos refer to the Photon as a DLP printer. However Anycubic's website advertise it as an SLA. Which is correct?

I bought an anycubic photon (not the s) during the black friday sales and watching videos on youtube I am feeling some regret about my decision. I think I would like to ask anycubic for a refund and get the Epax X1 printer instead. What do you guys think about the Epax and please be genuine and honest I know this is an anycubic group but I feel like this is a big investment to my art and how I make my living so I would really like to know your opinions.

Hello people.

Few weeks ago I posted a question asking why it wouldn't print and the general answers seemed to be a leveling problem.

After re-reading the manual and reading what everyone has put in her and watched youtube videos all doing the paper trick I'm still facing the same issue.

I've stripped the machine cleaned it thoroughly replaced the film layer and taken huge amounts of time leveling it and it still will not print a single thing. I have contacted the company but no reply

I am fully 100 % confident it is not a levelling issue so if your only answer you can think of leveling please just dont bother replying.

Hi everyone. My phonton gets here Thursday and I’m wanting to make this straw topper. The file shows lines everywhere and I’m wondering if this is what it’ll look like when it’s done or will it have a smooth finish since it’s a resin printer?
PS: I know ZERO things about 3D printing and 3D printers as this is my first. I’ve been watching this group and lots of YouTube videos to learn how to use it. So forgive my lack of knowledge!

hi guys im really not good at this at finding the right answers when i search for it and youtube so i thought id ask the hivemind. ive test printed the cude on the usb but now i want to try a mini, ive tilted it, put in the supports, changed the settings to the right resin, sliced it and put it on a new 16gb usb but when i pop it in the printer i cant find it or i find the file and i cant use it. software is not my strong point can i have some help please?
