I’m brainstorming how to produce a particular prop when an idea occurred to me- is it possible to include texture mapping into an stl or obj file for printing?

So I could theoretically map a rough texture or a raised design onto a surface, save and slice the file, and have it print said texture onto the surface it was mapped to?

Question for the modelers on this page:

I'm modeling a vehicle that has a complex surface and design, and my typical method is to have flowing geometry and 'sculpt' with extruding and manipulating faces and vertices, making sure everything connects and meshes together. Obviously throwing the correct shapes in and intersecting them would be quicker and easier, but I'm not sure how this would affect in printing. Can any one provide input?

Working with Elegoo black; recently saw a lot of complaints about the spreadsheet, and while I've had a lot of success with the Standard Grey, I'm having trouble dialing in the Black. I'll get a few of the first layers, but consistently will not have many more after that, and most of the layers will end up adhered to the screen. Not a leveling issue, as I've only changed out the grey for black resin and had no issues before. Can anyone share their settings they've used?

Running into an issue with my prints- the first few layers of the model- NOT the supports- come out distorted, no matter what angle I've orientated.

Flat surfaces come out wavy if orientated parallel to the bed, and when I angled to 45 degrees surfaces get visibly distorted where it should be flat, etc. and it only occurs the first few levels of the model, so I’m confident that the issue is with something with the FEP film, but not sure if its a sign its installed too tight, or not tight enough.

Has anyone else run into this or have a solution?
