Ok New to resin printing. Only problem I'm having is even after rinsing with IPA than curing the smell is still terrible.

I'm also working with Flex and ABS, I know both are potent.

Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys. Tried to print a few things this week and had failures.

20 shoulder pads for space Wolves only 13 came out and about 3 were mishaped. Drained tank, cleaned and tried again with another print mk2 crusade legs. This time only 4.1 legs came out and one half of the leg is missing!

Discovered some cured resin on the screen. Must be my fep leaking. Will see about tightening the screws and cleaning the underside proper.

Wondering about the cured resin on the fep and the UV screen. What is the safest non marring way to remove resin from there? Tried denatured alcohol, tried l.a.'s totally awesome. Didn't work. Don't want to scratch the screen with my scraper. Any tips?

Starting to model (support and slice) minis for my photo (yet to arrive). On scale, I was confused about scale, and think these will turn out too large... the bases are about 2.3 squares wide, and I didn't realize the squares are 1/2 inch.

I get that you can't see the islands and such, but how does my angles look? Any tips? Also, I ordered elegoo gray resin, so what should I be using for settings? I tried looking in the files and such, but couldn't figure out what I was looking at... Thanks

Help! I got a failed print stuck to the FEP and I can't get it off for anything! It's a pretty thin piece, and I can't get it to break loose. I've got it soaking in isopropyl, and I've tried rubbing it from the back, but I can't get it to lift. I also tried searching on here and on Photonsters for other methods, but I didn't find anything different.

I just got the printer yesterday, so I really don't want to destroy this piece of FEP. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Edit: I got it off using a method extrapolated from a couple of the tips in the comments. I used a 405nm laser pointer to cure a corner for about 60 seconds, then pushed from the back and it peeled right off.

Oh my goodness... Just went to play with my printed minis for the first time and I hadnt realised how Fragile and Brittle they were! The majority of them broke just being handled regularly.

Any tips for creating minis that wont snap and break after one use?

Hello all! I've just started printing with my photon s (elegoo standard resin) and I feel like I'm falling just short of highest quality prints, any tips? Currently running .05mm height, 9 second cure time. I'm worried my wash is insufficient as all I currently have access to (here in Thailand) is 70% ethyl alcohol. I end up with minis that seem a mix of matte and glossy, is that normal? I've also considered a shorter exposure time

Hey everybody, I got a Photon for Christmas. I’ve been trying to print with it for a few days now. I got some to print yesterday and it worked great. Other than that one success, it always fails after printing the bottom layer. I thought I got the settings right finally after that one, but all I’ve gotten are failures again today. I get a big piece across the FEP. I hear it sticking to the FEP as it lifts the build plate the first couple times and then after that I don’t hear it and I never get a print. It’s like it’s cooking to the FEP and peeling it off the build plate. Any help would be great. I’ve leveled it multiple times using the paper method and Flint Reed method.

Is it possible to change layer heights to multiple thicknesses in one print? Say .024 on small detail then .05 on the rest or in certain areas of the print. For example purposes only. Lets say you want to print a lolly pop. You want .024 on the sucker itself but the stick has no detail so to speed up the print it runs at .05 when you get to the stick.
