Ok team, I'm going to print MZ's chicken on my Photon S. I'm using Anycubic Grey resin, .05 thickness, Norm Exp 18, Off 1, Bottom Exp 90, Bottom Layers 8. My intuition is to hollow the model and lean it back 45 degrees and manually add supports. I'd like to make a dozen of the chicks but I haven't had much success printing multiple models at once. How would you do it?

Hello everyone!

I've had my photon for about a week now and I'm having a blast learning, failing and testing! Been trying some of my own design the past few days and its loads of fun!

Overall I'm improving print per print but I'm just curious, the crystal skull got a white "frosting" on some parts after cleanup, or maybe it was even there right from the start.

I am cleaning using an ultrasonic cleaner filled with some all purpose cleaner and a dash of iso. Then I dunk them into a bath of iso for a few minutes and agitate little.

Finally I dunk them into a bath of deionized water and then a cure under a nail polish UV dome.

I am using the Anycubic eco resin.

Any ideas or tips are appreciated!

Question about cleanup - I am not willing to put IPA in an ultrasonic cleaner, but would it be effective if I washed in IPA for a few minutes and then did a few minutes in an ultrasonic cleaner filled with de-ionised water?

Any other clean up tips? Seems to be where I struggle the most atm.

A question for the more Technic printers around,
what is the minimal channel diameter you have achieved and with what material/settings ?

was able to get 1mm diameter, below that channels got clogged...
printed on anycubic photon s, siraya blu,
10.5sec per layer, in 45 degree angle, washed with isopropanol and used 25G syringe to force the isopropanol through the channel.
Any tips for going narrower?

See it even happens to me....can you tell why? The outer ring of supports failed. Look at the supports....the tip, which is to small has because of its size is too little so there's not enough contact with the part and....presto....back to the slicer. This was mistake number 2.

Which slicer would be the Simplify3D for SLA? ChituBox is ok, Prusa is ok but no software is really good. It is not nice to have to use multiple software to get part ready for printing.

I have used Simplify3D with my FDM printer and it just works. It is super fast, simple, logical and good. Design a model, pop it in Simplify and it does the rest.
