Thanks for the add! Just ordered my Photon after a less than stellar experience with the Longer Orange10 (junk).

Does anyone have some good reading and tips to share for when it arrives in the meantime?

Hi Guys. Getting started with the anycubic and I’ve had my first successful print !! If I do multiple prints one after the other can I reuse the resin in the tray (and just top it up) or do I have to empty and clean the tray for every print?

Hello, I have a difficulty. When I take off the brackets the part is getting the mark and I am often breaking a piece of the piece when taking the bracket. I would like some tip on how you do, because I see your impressions and are always very well finished. My minions are getting full of flaws.

anyone here successfully using Chitubox on Linux? I gave it a try when it first came out and thought I would try it again now but the problems still persist.

As you can see from the screenshot the tops do not merge with the middle. And also there is no way of getting the sphere connection to work. The support on the far right that does not make contact with the model at all is supposed to have a sphere connection.

any tips on how to solve this?

I have a model of a train that is very, very, detailed with extremely small parts. Some of the parts I'm concerned with are the rails or pipes going down the sides of the engine at the top. It seems they may even be smaller than the small supports! There are also overhangs that need support in areas that are almost inaccessible, particularly in the back in the cab area. I can add supports to that area but I'm not sure I would be able to remove those once printed. I'm wondering If I should try to print this as one piece or separate it, flat on the build plate or angled? I have the STL in multiple parts, in fact, it breaks down into literally a thousand parts so I can choose to print it however I like. Any ideas on how I should proceed?

Wish me luck!

Hello group :)
This is my first post here.
After 6 years of FDM/ABS printing with fair and predictable results I bought a Photon S in order to experience a differen kind of 3d printing..
The first prints went pretty well (needing to learn different concept of "supports"). I used the Anycubic Green and Red resin (translucid) and the Elegoo ABS like resin and all the 3 resins didn't present big problems.
A different story is about the Dental NON Castable PINK resin by Anycubic because I wasn' able to get any print but I got only the supports when I was lucky.
I searched the web for this specific resin but I wasn't able to find explanation from other user.
I did only 3 attempts killing a FEP too but it seems I'm pretty far from a positive result.
Question: is the dental non castable pink resin by Anycubib so different?
I noticed it needs shorter exposure times but should I need to learn some trick and tip for this specific resin?
Thank you in advance!
Alberto (Italy)

Hi guys,

Finally I got my Photon yesterday. Before I digged through the different manuals/tips, so everything supposed to be fine..

Resin - base translucent green.

Settings - as per Github table for this resin, screenshot in first comment.

First Z calibration - classic 'paper' method from Photon.

My first issue: I've tryed to make my first print - matrix calibration file - it was sticked not to the plate, but to the FEP. OK, I recalibrated Z axis, removed cured base from the film, but issue appeared again.

Second Z calibration - alternative 'paper' method - after several times of classic method, I tried for 5-6 times with this option ( forllowing the video of proper calibration with paper). On the 6th time matrix calibration print finally sticked to the plate and I was just happy, so decided to print regular model (orc miniature with the base). I left it for print (3,5 hours) and when came back - again I found that the base is sticked to the FEP and process did not proceed further.

Every time I tried to remove cured base parts from the FEP with plastic scraper.

My last hope was to use Flinth's method and when I drained vat to start, I found that there are a lot of small scratches on the FEP which I potentially did, removing sticked cured base from the film.

On the pictures I tried to capture all the scratches, It is clearly visible shadows that scratches cause on the surface.

So, before doing more stupid things (on my opinion - to replace new FEP at once is not the smartest thing to do), could you please advise - should I have to replace FEP, or these cratches are not dramatic and doesnt influence on the sticking problem?

Thank you!
