Why is Chitubox doing this, it adds random crosses and lines inside the hollowed out baby Yoda.
It als ignores my hollow settings when slicing...

I missed ot the first time, long story short, blob punctured the FEP. ?

Ultrasonic cleaner - how do I use this one for clean up? Would you just fill the cleaner tank directly with alcohol, and drop in the parts? Or is it too corrosive? Or would you put the parts in a bag with alcohol, seal it, and place it into the water? Would you still need to use brush and soaking?

Vinicius approved advert.

I have become the UK distributor for EPAX resin printers. My initial focus is the printers but I am looking at stocking select resins, UV curing lamps and other higher end of the hobby products in the long run.

I’m a test and development engineer with 30 years in aerospace and defence. I have been contracting for a number of years as a limited company in that sector. I love printing, milling, turning, basically anything CNC. My next company purchase will be a decent laser cutter. My product range may spread in that direction in time.

So the company! Named after my children is ISJUTO3D and you can find the website at www.isjuto3D.co.uk There is a contact form on the site, feel free to send any suggestions for things you’d like, but struggle to get in the UK, related to resin printing. Or say “Hi” because that’s always nice too. All feedback warmly received.

The printers are at a fairly unsustainable launch price right now so grab one for Xmas! For yourself! You deserve one :)

Well my first attempt at a practical print didn't go as well as I hoped. Not sure how well it comes across but the flat bit at the bottom is meant to be gears. It's a replacement gear drive for the Nintendo 64 controllers.

I've got a pretty good idea about what went wrong though. It was either me putting more resin in on top of the older resin I used to print the formlabs test rook, which I didn't notice but seemed to have a film of cured resin along the bottom. Empty and clean the vat between every print, lesson learned. Or it was the fact that I printed them vertically, flat on the bed with no supports. I'm willing to bet it was a mix of the two.

Is there a best practice to printing small gears this size? I think the fifty micron layer height and screen resolution is fine, there seem to be a correct number of gear teeth and the sizing seems great compared to an actual gear, just a bunch of resin got cured between them by the looks of it.

It's a shame too because even with the resin being uncured it's sturdy enough to withstand the stresses put on it and a perfect fit for the joystick itself! Just 80% of the way there!

tried my first time at meshmixing bits and files together, liked the results BUT

as soon as I hit "make solid" all this gross bulging and connecting tissue appears where I had previously had nice looking joins in the file. Any tips on getting rid of these?

Okay, since I didn't get an answer last time, maybe now someone can help.

Replaced fep yesterday, releveled, tried to print, only base layers stuck to baseplate, after that it got stuck to the fep. Releveled again, same thing. Increased exposition time, same thing happened.

0.04 layer height, 8s (upped to 12s) exposition, 15 base layers with 120 (upped to 140) exposition.

Any help would be appreciated, as I've sunk almost a thousand euros into this crap and besides like 4-5 decent prints I've been only wasting resin, and damaging my nerves.

Alright. Clear resins. I'm looking for something that isn't a huge pain to use, and doesn't discolour. I'd love it to be super clear, but I can settle with slightly frosted if it doesn't cost a fortune. Anyways, I came across these water washable clear resins, and wanted to see what you guys thought, and if some of you have had experience using them. eSun Water Washable clear: http://www.esun3d.net/products/253.html PolyJuice water washable clear: https://filaments.ca/products/polyjuice-water-washable-resin-clear And if you guys have any other suggestions instead of these water-washable ones, I'd love to hear them. I'm basically trying to balance low-odor, cleanup cost, clarity, and price. 翻譯年糕

I had some strange issues with the latest release of Chitubox and decided to try other software. So I installed PrusaSlicer and was quite impressed by the features. Only downside of the PrusaSlicer is that you have to export the STL with supports to slice it in anycubics software. I also tried Lychee and It's just not my cup of tea. I print mostly small parts and the auto support in Lychee is crossing through the walls of the parts and the bracing has to done manually, the interface is a bit disturbing and I don't see what the USP's are to justify a 40 euro license. I don't mind paying for good software, but after the S3D debacle I became a bit more careful. I'm interested to hear your opinion about Lychee and PrusaSlicer. I would love a kind of plug-in for PS to directly export to a photon file.
