Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » 3D

Tried to print again using my photon...
1. The upper side looks great, but I failed again on the back side...should I try using Prusa for auto supports?
2. Some of the heavy supports also merged. I may have under exposed a bit too am I right?
3. See fifth picture below, the whole piece distorted a bit from a certain layer. Not too sure how I can improve that...

Settings:
Slicer: Chitubox
Material: Anycubic ECO clear
Exposure: 11; Base Exposure: 55;
Layer height: .05

How (and when) are you removing your supports?

I can imagine you get those potholes by just tearing the supports off...

Also if you watch 3DPrintingPro’s youtube again, he tells you he puts the heavy supports to make it stick to the buildplate but that it also (could) damage the model... which is why he "hides" them on a side that is not seen...

Xi-Sheng Luo After printing I clean the print with IPA and put in under the sun for 15mins.

The supports are removed after that but I admit I did tear them off a bit (as they are a bit too hard...)

Sorry I’m a total newbie and made quite a bit of mistakes... will watch 3DPrintingPro again as I may have missed a lot of important bits from the videos...

Jonathan Shih possible damage aside, if you remove the supports before curing in the sun, there should be less damage.
Still some, but less.

So: Print -> Clean -> Remove Supports -> Cure.

Xi-Sheng Luo thanks for your advice, still a long way for me to learn in this 3D printing journey...

I saw this wicked dragon printed on the Photon group page earlier and had to try it. I decided to hollow it out and print it using Hero resin since it is perfect for these type of prints.
If you want to try it out you can get it here... https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-wurm-96413

I am looking for a uk based 3d designer who can create model train bodyshells, working from either smaller parts as a visual reference to upscale them and also working from photographs, preferably based in the uk case I need to post parts out to work from.

If you can download some 3d software and learn it. It will make your 3d printing that much better.

Just wanted to say thanks to this entire community. Hubby and I are newbie 3D printers. I’ve been FDM printing for less than a year and we decided to upgrade from the mono price mini to resin printing with the photon zero. We have not had much success with prints, but the help here has made troubleshooting each variable in the print process tolerable! So, thanks :)

so I tried adding auto supports following 3d printed table top's video on youtube using PrusaSlicer auto supports, then exporting as STL with supports, opening in chitubox and slicing, and printing. Unfortunately the model detached from the supports and failed. Given this is such a popular method, is there anything I probably missed as a beginner with resin printing? The key caps I printed from the Photon Slicer with auto supports from it printed just fine

Hello everyone, I'm new to the page and a total noob to 3D printing. I finally got the sample print to print correctly with my photon. One thing I've noticed with my current settings though is that the base layer is probably a bit too attached to the base plate. What is best to reduce this a bit? Less layers, less base cure time, or some other factor? Thanks!

hello collective minds. Need some advice on 3d tools for prepping prints on my photon.
I'm working on an architectural print and some of the parts are only .05 thick, which isn't going to hold up while printing. I could go in an manually edit them but this would take 100s of hours I'm sure. Is there any tool, or method in the common tools (meshmixer, etc) that can auto scan the model and make any walls or planes double the thickness?

A very specific ask I'm sure, and I cant share the model due to legal limits but there's something similar to a fire escape (old style) and the metal plating is whats failing the most as it's only x thick and wont hold up to even a hair's worth of pressure when printing.

thanks in advance.

Hello people. Well i dont have a 3d printer yet. Trying to save up for one. But is there anyone that can print 1/64 scale figures for me at an Affortable price. Something like this. Im looking for mostly females. Pm me with pics if you can.
I been buying from overseas and they cost me about 3 per pc. Thanks in advance.
