Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » UV

Two beginner questions:

1. It seems that the buildplate in Chitubox is not aligned with the UV LCD since it cut of the back of my model, any one else experince that? (No red areas in the software).

2. Why do the down side with the support looks like it is melted? I have tilted the model in a angle that it should be able to print. I did print in Anycubic gray with 7s exposure on my Photon S.

New user here*
I’m printing in translucent green and I’m getting white residue on my prints after my post processing.
I’m washing in alcohol then room temp water then UV lamp curing
Where is the issue in my process that causes the white stuff?

Anyone know where i can get a new tank and build plate? Just bought on eBay for £119 and it arrived from Hungary (but the seller said they were in London)

Seller said in the description the FEP would need replacing but there is no tank or build plate.

Also now looking at the pics there seems to be what looks like resin between the lcd and the plastic touchscreen and also seller said it has the 'Z' wobble. Its more like 'Z' on the pi$$ and when you try and move it you hear the motor turning but nothing happens.

Gonna take it a part and see what has happened and worst case it can be repairs but at least I will have a spare uv display, lcd screen, mother board and I may be able to make a UV curing chamber from the case.

But going back the the Z axis issue, if it can be fixed would the dual z axis kit help. Will upload pics soon but at the moment putting poorly baby boy to bed..

But the auction id was 223840766757

Ok did a shoot out today. All same method using elegoo green clear resin and a small ultrasonic cleaner for 3 mins. Rinsed in cold water then 10 mins under uv light
This is to find a solution most people have to hand (or under my kitchen sink). in UK selection is limited. Prices updated per litre I paid

1 brake cleaner. Good but cloudy. Not exactly the best for toxicity and disposal £4 per litre
2 pine disenfectant 25% solution good and pretty clear. 10%. Not so good still marks on surface £1 per litre before dilution
3 orange surface cleaner. Useless doesn’t really get rid of the resin needs scrubbed £1.50 per litre
4 cillit bang kitchen degreaser. Not bad at all. Still cloudy. £3 per litre
5. IPA. Cleanest surface finish but dull on clear resin. £10 per litre
6 gunk degreaser. Best looking finish and clearest. Downside is it’s almost as toxic as resin. £5 per litre.

Overall IPA is best if your not using a clear resin and want to paint best surface feel. If your looking for clarity Gunk degreaser wins but be careful with it. Best all rounder is pine disinfectant at 25-30% solution.

FINALLY. For cleaning up. IPA followed by Cillit Bang is cleaning up the mess brilliantly

4 cillit bang kitchen delit. 還不錯. 還是多雲. 每公升3英鎊
5. ipa. 最乾淨的表面完成, 但在清澈的樹脂上沈悶. 每公升10英鎊
6 gunk dealaser.

I’ve been doing some test prints of a base topper design I’m working on and couldn’t get the exposure dialed in... then noticed significant uneven exposure. ?
I’m trying to debug this problem, and could use some help.
This is on an original Photon, so is this the LCD starting to fail? Or maybe the UV light becoming uneven?

Hey everyone, I am having a sudden issue. So, I have been printing for a couple months now, with no real issues (outside of not enough supports and stuff on user error). Now, I'm trying to print a simple box. Each side is separate so i stacked them side by side, tilted them so i could put some supports to prop it up and help ensure that its a good print. However, its been 5 tires and they all fail. It prints the base of the supports, then starts to print the lower supports, and fails after a few layers into the actual print. I'm at a loss. I tried tilting, adding/sub supports, printing each side by itself, changed the resin, tested the UV light, re-leveled a few times and more. Its a little cold in the room, but still within range of the bottle recommendations. Any ideas?

I do not know what i am doing wrong and could use some help. This seems to mainly only be a problem when using grey. The printer for some reason always prints this thin layer of flimsy film right in the middle. It usually still successfully prints with that hanging off or Tangled up in the supports.

Then for some reason the fep is loosening and being to get tightened every couple of prints. I have gone through 3 fep sheets trying to fix. I have done the normal and Flint method of leveling and the uv light and screen looks fine in the machine. Any ideas?

SOOOO todays experiment with Cleaning Solutions i have lying about.
Gunk Ultra £10 for 5L.
I did 2 tests this time. 1 in the ultrasonic cleaner and 1 in a tub.
Results are. Gunk in ultrasonic cleaner is superb. it got into all nooks and crannies and after 10 mins under UV they look great and no residue.
Gunk in tub swirled around. Not so good. Still residue on pieces and not as clean.

I have a couple more things to try and then ill do a proper shoot out test comparing all solutions.

How long does the UV lamp in the photon last approx? lets say with contiuous use (and slight cooldown breaks)
How do you know when its done? does it still show the rectangular in the test screen or simply by putting out bad minis.?
