Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » UV

Want to quickly check something guys please if a few of you can check and verify, especially those with a good few hours on the printer.
The cooling fan underneath for the uv light heatsink. (Not the cabinet extractor).
When the UV light activates it switches on - good.
But is pulling air down from the case underneath, now I know this should draw coming air across the heatsink fins as it draws out the heated air that passes the heatsink.
But....
I read on a post somewhere on here earlier that it should be blowing, (pushing air up into the heatsink) and some were supplied fitted upside down.
Rather than go on speculation if a few people would be kind enough to see which way theirs is set and if they've had cooling problems I'd appreciate it.
Thank you.

I didn’t know that photon came with a free UV protector?! What a pleasant surprise!

Can we use 100watt or higher power UV LED for cycle time decrease or use higher power resin like B9R resin?

Alright. Is the resin ever gonna get hard enough to not be finger nail scratch able. I might need different uv lights, but I left my print in the sun for about 45 minutes, and it's still easy to scratch in bottom. I have specific curing leds coming in tomorrow, so maybe that will help, but I just wanna double check that this isn't the best it's gonna get.

Okay this is a tempt at print number 7 off of this photon after having had a small bit of luck printing parts that I made but still having issues I decided to revert to an old standard, stick with what works.
So I downloaded this model and of course had to learn to use Meshmixer so that I could Hollow it out and add Towers to it. Then over to the slicer and give that one more shot at seeing if I understood what I was doing.
Of course on top of that it was digging out slicer settings for Clear resin. What I never stopped to think about is that rendering the slices is a lot like rendering animation and this took my computer around an hour and a half to slice. I did it wrong the first time and mounted it with the base of the statue against the build plate. I'm glad it failed because I didn't think about dumping out all of the resin.
Then on the second pass I thought I'm going to flip this thing over and print it with the head against the base plate that way all of the resin can drain out of the opening. 12 1/2 hours later I got it.
I think I'll keep this printer. Now to try to figure out how long to leave it under the UV lights.

Just posted a vid on how I built my UV light snake to cure the inside of hollowed out prints! Enjoy!

Discovered this swimming in my resin after my failed print from yesterday. Could it be that I scratched the glass surface of the resin vat cleaning it with a paper towel, and the UV light is getting refracted wrong? Or could this just be from bad print settings? (Was trying to print a small miniature.)

Ok folks, getting frustrated. Had about a month of successful prints now everything is failing - almost seems like stuff isn't curing right. In some cases there's complete rectangle the size of UV light cured to FEP or plate, sometimes stuff starts fine but fails when supports meet model (I'm making the items angled). I'm using anycubic green and known working settings with both Chitubox and Anycubic slicer. The pic below was 2 minis on 1" bases slightly angled. I have leveled bed both with paper and in-vat method, FEP is brand new, and build plate is clean/level. What can be going wrong???

My second print was quite big......the Photon dealt with it without remark. Even if there were minor defects I wouldn't mind as the parts are adapted further. Although the measurement accuracy is important for me, the deviations were minor, nothing a little sanding couldn’t solve, so I’m fine with it. The louvres I printed separately and were inserted in the big part, same goes for the little ornaments on top.
