Is there a second spot to check the lcd screen is connected fully? is it okay to remove the black tape and replace it with new electrical tape to make sure everything is connected?
Had to replace my lcd screen and it isnt showing anything when I try the UV test.

I'm having a bit of a problem curing hollow prints. No matter how much I wash and cure them, I still get glossy, wet-looking spots that are sticky to the touch, and the prints still smell of uncured resin.

I've washed them repeatedly and thoroughly, left them under the UV for hours, re-washed them again, left them under the UV for hours again.

I'm guessing this is caused by the hollow inside of the print not getting hit by any appreciable amount of UV light and thus not curing.

My solid prints are absolutely fine and cure completely and as expected.

Has anyone ran into this problem and solved it?

For those of you who use water washable resin, how do you dispose of the dirty water after washing the print?

I recently got some Polyjuice Water Washable resin from Filaments.ca, and they claim that I can just hit the water with UV to finish curing everything, filter it, then dump the water down the drain, and the solids in the garbage. Is this true for most WW resins?

Original photos n. Replaced the screen after the cable detached from the top side when the screen was stuck the the bottom of the vat.

Put in the replacement, but it was making a weird grinding noise and it wasn't printing correctly. Reattached cable and checked, and now when trying to do the uv detection, it seems to just be the backlight showing.

Where do I go from here?

Product review... 5m LED UV Strip from Amazon - Buyer beware! When I first got my Photon in August, I obviously needed a curing station, so followed what many in here had done and made one from a box, lined in foil, with some ventilation and lined it with 5m of led strips from Amazon. This worked great for a few hours in total, I probably used it in 10 min blasts a couple of times a week. They worked fine at first, finally curing parts in about 10 mins of exposure.
Within about 3 weeks I noticed that the LED strips were becoming dimmer and were less purple and more white coloured light. It was also taking longer to finally cure parts.
Then quickly the next time I used the curing station I noticed the light was now coming out in a yellow or orange colour and was not seeming to cure the parts at all.
Then I put a dot of fresh resin, on a microscope slide and put it into the curing station and switched it on... After half an hour, the resin was still a complete liquid!!

So I removed the LED strips, looked more closely and could see that the rubbery coating on them had yellowed all the way through, wherever there was an LED component.

So I logged into Amazon and requested a product return and typed in a description of the problem, "Coating is not UV friendly, has degraded and yellowed, blocking the UV light and making the product not fit for use"
I completely forgot about this, until today I had another email from Amazon asking how the seller had dealt with my complaint and product return.
So, I checked Amazon, no messages there from the seller, and also checked my email accounts, no messages there either. and left my comments with Amazon in their questionnaire. explaining that I will throw the product away, review it, and contact my bank for a chargeback"
So here is my review chaps, avoid this product.
I have peeled off the coating, which comes off in 10mm bits, one part came off in a 200mm length, which I have added the picture here.
Unfortunately even when the coating is removed, there is still a sliver still stuck to the LED's which will not come off and is still not allowing the UV through.
Here is a link to the product on Amazon, it is probably sold by various sellers, but design is the problem, and if they cocked up the material selection for the waterproofing, who knows what else they cocked up in the design, so I would not even buy the non waterproof version!

Hey guys, I'm wondering if any of you guys can help me out with your experiences (specifically people whose printers live outside and relatively "open" to the elements)!

Recently I've started noticing flakes of semi cured resin turning up in my vat when I've been removing prints (I try to do this at night/in the afternoon to limit UV exposure) and I was wondering whether anyone else had experienced this?
I *was* thinking it was perhaps due to how dusty my balcony gets, or perhaps due to the top layer of resin being partially cured when I open the door to remove my build plate or something (on the few instances I remove builds during the day), but now I'm starting to think it may be caused by outdated firmware (saw something on another post last night about someone else have similar ish issues and a potential solution was to update the firmware).

I'm interested in whatever you guys have to say regarding this, and as a note I do plan to improve the setup a little with dedicated hinged doors (ideally out of UV blocking acrylic but possibly just MDF in the interim) I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

Photos 1-3 show the flakes in the bottom of the vat, removed and the thickness of the thickest one I could easily spot (roughly 0.2mm, probably the LH from my last print, although that could've been 0.5)
Photos 4 and 5 show my current WIP set up (printer is on the left, eventually going to have a washing/curing station and a spot to filter unused resin on the right)
Photo 6 is to give you an idea of how much dust I've gotten in the roughly month and a half I've been using this set up (previously I had the printer in my living room, but removed it because my brother was complaining about the smell - fair enough)

TIA for all suggestions :)
