Hi there,

I was wondering like when Im priting and the base is going up from UV screen I hear that pop sound that printed object is sticked to FEB film. First of all its noisy but also I think that preasure fail few parts during the print.

Any idea what is wrong and how to fix it ?

I've just received my photon and when I make the UV test this is what I see. I think this is not correct should I contact tech support?

Hello, so I bought a photon and ran the test print. worked great. truly impressed by what resin can do. moved the device to a place that won't be hurt by smelling like resin.

Now I upgraded to the latest beta firmware to try the AA. upgrade went fine no issues other than the stock USB not working for firmware upgrades.

Now the problem I am having is that the UV test won't show anything anymore AND my Z axis is stupid slow. it kinda moves but like it could maybe take a hour to get to Z0. I tried reflashing the most current non-beta version but that changes nothing.

does anybody have any idea what I could do or is this return back to amazon from a blown stepper motor or board.

mixing food coloring with uv sensitive resin is pretty common in crafts, but has anyone tried it for DLP printing? is this just a horrible idea?

after having issues with large prints failing after 10 hours or so ive cleaned and tightened what i can but when testing the UV ive noticed shadows on the screen , would these have caused the failures? also would a large file as opposed to a big model be more prone to issues either when loading running or outright failures?

Newbie here I’m afraid. Brand new printer arrived 2 days ago. Followed all the setup instructions and I seem to have a 3D printer that only prints in 2D! HELP!! All I’m trying to print is the test file that came with it - I’m presuming that the .photon file is setup ready to go. (I can’t see how to adjust any of the settings such as UV time)I’ve done the UV test with the paper and can see the light coming through as it should during a print. I’ve tried different resins but nothing seems to stick to the base!? I’m not hearing the popping or clicking noise either which I think might be the issue but not sure what to do? All advice greatly received....thanks!

So this happened today. Not sure what to make of it so I will ask the hive mind. Long story short, I had a leak in a new FEP I put on the other day. Resin had leaked out and over about 1/3 of my LCD screen. Lucky for me I had taped up the sides of the screen so nothing leaked into the innards of the printer. It also leaked while nothing was printing, so no resin really cured anywhere. After cleaning everything off carefully and setting my zero lvl again, I ran a test on the UV light and got this. My pattern now has a "mole" in the top right. Not sure if it just appeared or if its been there a while.

My question is have yall seen weird little dead spots like this before? I am going to assume this will jack with any future prints until I get it fixed. What do you think my options are with this?

Welp, fixed my build area issue and my barkeep looks a lot better than v.1.0. Very happy with this build. But a new question arises: how do I determine what is the best cure time? (I'm assuming the whitish/cloudy spots are from overcuring). Just trial and error until I get a feel for it? Does the UV lamp penetrate the whole model? (I cured it on its face and back 90 sec. Each until I get a box built for it).
