Which UV lamp you used? Please send me link on Ebay.
Thanks. :)

Success! First print failed to adhere to the build plate (obvious as soon as it cleared the tank) so I stopped the print, leveled it again, and five hours later here we are. Washed in alcohol for a few minutes, rinsed with water, cured for 4 minutes under the same UV lamp I use for my other UV resins :)

Thanks for all the troubleshooting advice that starts with "but did you level the plate?"

Another newbie joins you and is about to sign up for the Voyage of the Damned or a trip to Fantasyland, depending on the posts you read in this group :) It was a toss-up between this printer and the Elegoo Mars but it all boils down to local availability so the Photon won. To avoid repetition, I've been through the last few weeks posts here to try and learn what I can before I start. I've used FDM printers for a year or more so have some idea of the process. But that still leaves lots of space for more questions. So sorry if you've heard these before but sometimes my Google Fu doesn't work.
I've got a Photon from a UK-based Anycubic reseller and 2 litres of flesh resin in my eBay basket together with a "10Watt power/60watt UV light" UV light, 3 x 1 litre tupperware tubs with lids (IPA and water are covered), filters for the resin and some replacement FEP sheets. Already have nitrile gloves and a scraper from my Ender 3s. Oh yeah, and lots of kitchen roll and blue paper rolls for the mop up ;D
So my initial questions are :
While I think I've got all the basics covered, before I hit "checkout", is there anything I should be aware of ? I don't want to buy stuff that isn't necessary to start but want to be able to begin safely when the printer is out of the box. Seen too many newcomers in the FDM community buying upgrades before they've even tested their new printer.
2) There have been comments about keeping the UV light lower in power to allow the cure to be more constant around the model. Would the light I've chosen be okay or too much ? Not sure about how the two values: 10W power and 60W light would affect the cure time.
3) I've seen some aluminium replacement vats on sale. Does this mean the stock item is plastic ? Is it a weak point of the printer and should be replaced earlier rather than when it finally wears out ?
There may be more questions coming but thanks for any input you can offer. 翻譯年糕

Does anyone know why some prints form this white later after curing? I'm using the green anycubic resin that comes with the photon, cleaning in 91% isopropyl, and then curing for about an hour with a UV lamp and a rotating surface

Dear all, how do you effectively glue resin prints except with resin + UV? Thanks.

Is anyone local to the Vancouver/Portland area and interested in picking up another photon? I bought one and used it once or twice and haven't used it for almost a year. I'm looking to get around 325 for it. I've got a couple extra fep sheets to go with it.

Just installed the Photon S UV Matrix into my Photon! WOW, difference in definition of the print it so much better than I expected! Best reason to have a printer with LED Array!

In the picture you can see the 50um 2-20 test of Anycubic White resin, on left is with the standard UV led setup, on right is the LED Matrix. In the other pictures you can see how nicely the Matrix focuses the light and on the other one is the standard conical LED setup with the light diffused over the whole room.

Fitting the LED Matrix is tight but possible, extra parts that I literally needed was only to design and print the supports to hold it in place and needed 6 extra screws. Did only exposure tests so far but seems to be running well.

Minor issues I need to address:
-will need to redesign the LED supports as I needed to grind about 5 mm from the front ones because I could not close back the front panel as the LCD touch screen was hitting them.
-i kept the standard fan which cools down the array, It might be strong enough but the S has a bigger one so I might upgrade it.
-will need to get a better PSU, hear that the fans are slowing down when the UV light turns on.

Other thing is that it seems the UV Matrix is not working at it's full potential, the AC White and Black resin which I tested seems to have normal exposure time at 8sec on my installed UV Matrix, I've seen people mention on the S they cure the White at about 5.5 seconds. Can someone confirm this?
If true, then I belive the power might be limited by the PSU, I installed the LED Matrix together with it's control board, don't think I need then to change any resistance?
