Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » FDM

This cube was a test for my FDM printer which I scaled down to exactly 1cm sides.

Stuck directly to plate as I don't care about elephant foot.

Z dimension is exactly 1cm, X and Y are 1.03cm. I know prints off the photon (S) are not supposed to be 100% dimensionally exact because resin can expand and/or contract, yet is there a way to make the object more reliably dimensioned without scaling XY to 97%? (if it's even proportional and constant depending on the object size)

I could try lowering the exposure time to see if it was because of the bleeding, yet for now getting your input is faster than another 2hrs print at 0.02mm layer height ;)

Getting the failures out of the way early. Print 1 perfect, print 2 did not stick because I did not adjust print settings for my resin, print 3 perfect, print 4 ran out of resin ?‍♂️ . So question is the bevel the "fill line" and is there an established method for ensuring you have enough resin?
In FDM you go on weight of filament spool or calculations to determine length remaining on the spool.

Need some help. Anycubic photon, anycubic photon s, elegoo Mars, or new creality ld002r. For a good first resin printer
I am leaning toward the anycubic photon due to the large number of users or the new creality as I have 4 of their fdm printers and they are great. Btw I’m in Australia and they are all roughly the same price except for the photon S and the elegoo Mars are more $ and the Mars is harder to get/find
Thanks in advance

Test print done perfect first try, flawless (mind blown). Second print total fail didn't stick to the bed past the first 10 layers or so. It should have been a lithophane at about a 30 degree angle 5mm off the plate with heavy supports on the bottom edge. I just left the print setting in chitubox defaulted for my first slice ever on this kind of printer. Guessing that was the problem, going to adjust those and try again. Other thoughts?

Update: it was just under exposing and not enough base layers, try 2 was perfect and coming from FDMp printing mind is blown.

Hey all, new member and new to resin printers. Been doing a lot of youtube and everything between. One thing truly stands out to me, coming from FDM printing how often do I need to level the work plate for the photon? And after how many prints should I be swooping out my resin? Haven't found many good answers, so hopefully y'all can help. Thank you everyone in advance. Have a great day and go Seahawks.

Not sure if this is permited as I used multiple printers including fdm, feel free to remove if so. More printed parts for Troglokhan. Printed on a few different machines, those are Creality CR-10S, Creality Ender-3 Pro, Creality LD-002R, Anycubic Photon-S & a Sovol SV-01.

2 weeks of learning to use the photon.
Using a cr10s fdm printer for 2 years.

1. Learn to level.
2. Learn to tune your fep (part of leveling).
3. Acetone cleans uncured resin better than ipa.
4. This one is on going, chitu box is good, but learn how to use the prussia slicer, and validator.
Prussia slicer supports seem better than chitu box. Blue photos are chitu box supports, but the actual print has prussia supports, alot less and a cleaner print.

I hope this helps some people ?

Hey all, relative noob to resin printing but have been printing fdm for a while.

Prints are coming out nicely and I am happy with them. My concern is that after each print I am finding resin debris in the vat. Some of them float around and adhere to the print. Any ideas on why this might be happening?

Thanks
