Anyone know of a visualizer for SLA prints like gcode.ws for FDM prints? 翻譯年糕

Hello everyone! As a designer, artist and overall tinkerer, I always found 3D printing fascinating but daunting while also frowning at the finish of FDM printers (which are typically the most affordable and wide-spread). However after seeing Daniel Feeney 's true-scale Iron Warriors (big miniature nerd here) and consequently discovering the Photon I started educating myself in LCD-SLA printing and 3D printing in general.

After dealing with numerous materials, sculpting and replication techniques, something like the Photon is like a creator's wet dream.

That being said, while *very* affordable, especially with the current deal, I found out about it at a time where the wallet is a bit dry, ahah! I was wondering, can someone tell me how often does Anycubic have this sort of promotions? And any other tips or considerations when getting into the Photon or this sort of 3D printing?

Thank you

Has anyone modified their Photon to be silent? It is screaming like crazy with the two small fans at full speed.

The build area fan is quite obvious to remove but how about the led fan? My plan is to toss the 50 mm one in the bin and replace it with a silent 120 mm Noctua fan. I do not see that this would be a bad idea. Do you and why?

How about silencing the z-stepper motor? It is also quite noisy. I silenced my FDM printer steppers by lower the holding torque a little bit. How can this be changed on the Photon?

Has anyone ever poured smooth-on silicones onto cured resin parts or used the resin parts as molds for silicone?

I've been trying to understand why the silicone doesn't cure correctly when exposed to the resin parts. The silicone in contact remains all goopy and sticky.

The Smooth-on report spoke to said it was something to do with the chemical compounds used in the resins and they don't do testing to see if the silicone will cure on most plastics because of how many types of resins there are.

Its weird because after a few pours and failed attempts, the silicone will cure correctly.
I have no issue during silicone on my FDM parts, however.

Hello, and thanks for letting me join the group. I bought a regular photon and found it easy so far, then through a stroke of luck anycubic gave me a returned photon s. Enjoying both, a nice add on to my FDM printers for sure. I also deal with FDM and SLM metal powder machines at work. I am on the hunt for a good slicer, came across chitcubox, but it seems to have some bugs on both my Pcs. Is there a slicer that works, even if it costs a few bucks?

Hello group :)
This is my first post here.
After 6 years of FDM/ABS printing with fair and predictable results I bought a Photon S in order to experience a differen kind of 3d printing..
The first prints went pretty well (needing to learn different concept of "supports"). I used the Anycubic Green and Red resin (translucid) and the Elegoo ABS like resin and all the 3 resins didn't present big problems.
A different story is about the Dental NON Castable PINK resin by Anycubic because I wasn' able to get any print but I got only the supports when I was lucky.
I searched the web for this specific resin but I wasn't able to find explanation from other user.
I did only 3 attempts killing a FEP too but it seems I'm pretty far from a positive result.
Question: is the dental non castable pink resin by Anycubib so different?
I noticed it needs shorter exposure times but should I need to learn some trick and tip for this specific resin?
Thank you in advance!
Alberto (Italy)

From my research the Bondtech BMG is sla printed. Would a DLP print from the photon yield similar results. The shell as I understand it is not load bearing. I could fdm print the lever. I would just like perfect tolerances in the body. Would this be a good application for the photon?
