Hello and thanks for the ad. I have been using my creality cr-10 and ender3 for the last few years and was starting the search for a better print option for smaller more detailed parts and found the photon will hopefully do what I need it to do. From what I have seen on the page so far this will be a new learning curve but do have a few questions that I’ll be searching out but any help would be great.

Can all the resin from the same or different manufacturers be mixed to obtain a specific color? Or are there dyes available?

Are there resins that are flexible like a r/c car tire and if so can it be used in the photon?

While printing Is the photon as loud as a fdm printer or is it fairly quiet?

Just posted files for a 3d Printed curing chamber for the anycubic photon. You'll need an FDM printer to print it off, but I'm told that if you don't have an FDM printer you can usually barter prints from your photon in exchange for printing something like this off. If there's enough demand I'll chop it up so you can print it off on a Photon as well. https://youtu.be/Mzioa8Dnb_k 翻譯年糕

So, spent today designing a fan adapter similar to the vent hose adapter, but for a self contained fan/filter combo. This would replace the back panel on the Photon.
This one is designed for a 92mm fan, as I thought it would be a good balance between fan size/flow and fit. Could easily modify for an 80mm or 120mm fan. Also, I had a couple extra 92mm fans I wasn't using.
For filters, I plan to cut to size the activated carbon sheets that are used as prefilters on honeywell air purifiers. From a 11"x8" filter, I should be able to get 6 filters. The housing is made to double filter thickness, resulting in roughly 1/2" of filter.
Curious to get everyone's thoughts/Feedback. The model includes allowances for a switch to turn the fan on/off as well as a spot for an Ethernet extension cable ( http://amzn.com/B01J7KVPCK ). These could also be removed.
I'm currently printing the filter housing and cover on my FDM to make sure the snap works correctly, but curious to feedback. After that it will be the adapter itself. I already printed on but the Ethernet port was a bit off.

Any interest from anyone else in similar? I may post it on thingi or something, after I validate all the pieces.
UPDATE: 92mm version on thingy. Let me know on there if you have any issues -

Finally had enough of the bed coming unlevel from the ball joint. Did this and now it’s solid as a rock.

Print in FDM if possible. AND do NOT overtighten the side screws or you’ll bend the entire print. Also use higher infill. I did 70% infill.

Hello, I've just got a photon and I'm pretty pleased with the 1st results. The fumes from it are pretty heavy so it lives in the garage. Is there a way to remotely monitor as with FDM printers and octoprint?

The locust battletech failed but the rest printed.. Cant really do that on a FDM printer.

If I wanted to make a fan duct for my FDM nozzle, will resin prints hold up to the heat?

Hi guys in new to the photon but not 3d printing (fdm)

The main issue I'm having is x & y dimensional accuracy all faces are 0.1mm larger apparently this is a known issue at the moment, i am compensating with the stl file but threads are a nightmare of course...

I know there has been attempts to make simple applications to fix this but they don't work or can cause damage ?

The main way of fixing this by looks of things would be trimming every exposure by a pixel on all "faces"

This may have been answered before,

But I'm sitting here waiting an AGE for this slicer to complete so I thought I have the time so why not ask the question.

What is the slicer using to slice?

is it using the Processor or the Graphics card?

I'm on a fairly old Mac Pro, but it's still got an incredibly powerful processor in it, but the graphics card in this machine is really terrible.

Should i be slicing with my PC which has a much more powerful GPU?

Or is the slicer just not fast and I have to deal with it.

I use Cura 4.1 for slicing FDM prints and it whizzes through in literally seconds, even on prints that are 24 hours plus it slices in a couple of minutes.

I estimate the print in the attached screenshot will take around 4 hours to print, and so far it's taken 45 minutes just to slice... it's infuriating!

***EDIT***
Can't get Chitubox to work on my mac, it loads but then screen goes crazy!

Got my printer for a couple days now. After some failed prints and already replacing the film because of a leak, I wanted to try the grey resin.
I barely smelled the green resin that came along with the printer without any special upgrades but the grey resin (official Anycubic) is on a whole other level and quickly filled it's smell around my entire room. I'm currently looking at some setups to have better airflow and reduce the smell. I came across this post on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3441551
Since I have an FDM printer, this looks fairly easy and cheap to make. Anyone who has this exact setup, or any experts here that could tell me which setup would be better or what things I have to keep in mind?
I've heard about disabling the fan just now, but my printer is still running so cannot test it out quite yet. I would rather have a good airflow outside the printer instead of just disabling the fan anyway. Looking forward to hearing some suggestions, thanks! 翻譯年糕
