I have 2 issues with my late prints, i don't know exactly why. Maybe some here could help !

- First, 2 prints in a row, my raft that was almost occupying all the space on the build plate got detached a bit and warped for some milimetters. Causing part of my supports to not print properly.

- Second, but I think it's is linked to 1 : in some areas, my raft is 1mm tall and in some other, it's 3mm. So i'm wasting way too much resin for the raft.

I already releveled the bed, but I don't see any reason why it would warp and print more than it should.

Maybe my FEP is damaged or simply too old ?

I bought a set of used necrons few months ago and decided today to paint them. I just realized the vendor didn't gave the rods... So time to adapt - improvise - overcome! With anycubic green It 's perfect.

Hello, I have a question about the AA feature and the photon firmware update.

I downloaded the " Photon_firmware_4.2.19 " that contains only 2 files (.LCD and .BIN) from the official anycubic webpage ( https://shorturl.at/CLQV4 ).

But every tutorial I saw mention 3 files.

Can you tell me if I'm doing right ? Is this really the last firmware update for AA on photon ?

My friend Manuel Boria released a set of Ogres on his Patreon ( https://www.patreon.com/Manuel_Boria ) this month and I decided to give it a go.

WHAT I DID :

The models came in a single big piece and I decided to split it in 4 parts in order to have lower print time with better supports control.

I also hollowed the big chunks (chest and legs) because I feared the thickness could produce some cracks over time.

So I had to create dovetail shape in Zbrush, I used a cube shape.

________

WHAT I LEARN :

When you split a model, even if it look perfect in software, you'll have to use putty to fill joints. Also I'm not sure I gained time usin this method.

Hollowing model is still a good way to prevent cracks and to save previous resin. But at the end of the day, I used more supports so was it worth it ? TBH I don't know, i'm just happy I tried new stuff. :)

If you want to use dovetail, don't use plain cube shapes. It may be perfect in software, but once you print it it will inflat a bit. Prefer pyramid shape, it will make the assembly easier.

I forgot to add that the stick didn't print well probably because I used auto supports and didn't pay attention to this area. Should be ez to fix with putty also.

________

I attached Images of my Chitu project as well as final result and settings. Hope you'll enjoy my journey :p

Today's print ! Almost perfect : The figure on the left is split left arm / body / right arm, the right one is a single piece. No hollow because I'm lazy.

I have just a minor issue, a zigzag line on the right one from the back to the side and the face.

I think it might be a hair or fur, I don't really know what could cause a sort of crack that is not a crack.

Anyway, they are available for my patrons : https://www.patreon.com/simonaublet :p

Hi, I'm still trying to find why my print sticks to the FEP instead of the plate.

Do you know if it's normal that when I setup the zeroing and then when I hit "home", there is a 1mm space between the 2 positions ?

I mean, i set the 0 to block the paper (can tear but not push back), but then after I get back to "home", I can easily remove paper like there is a 1mm gap.

Also, I tried everything that you guys suggested me :
- VAT is leveled
- buildplate is leveled and tighten
- added tape on screen borders
- checked the FEP (it sounds like a drum), but here I couldn't measure precisly with app "Easy Tension" on android :s
- waited a bit after the resin shake before printing

Thank you

Complete disaster this morning... Two print in a row with this crap. I have no idea what causing this. Any idea? I changed the fep on The first misprint then check my file in chitu 1.3 and it didn't print. This is the corect shape but it seems to not glue to the plate. I already printed 3 times with the same settings without a single error.

Now I need to re-order fep films for further test

I have a few questions for this wonderful group :
Currently my printer is in my bedroom and i would like to install it on my balcony.

1- How is the resin reacting to day light ?
2- Should I avoid direct sun ray only ?
3- Can I open the bottle and pour the resin in the printer while indirect cloudy sky light hits the vat ?

I'm considering buying a garden furniture to stock the printer and print outside, obviously I need a UV proof one. But how's reacting the printer to low temperature 0-15°C ? For printing and storing ?

Thanks a lot
