I wonder if the new bio-resins/low odor resins will be safe to use in an indoor/living setting? Or do you think they are just masking the toxic fumes?

Has anyone tried fitting a Epax LED onto the Photon? It should be as simple as swapping out the LED and power supply, right?

The Epax has a gasket in the resin vat to help prevent leaks. Has anyone tried making a similar gasket for the Photons vat?

I think I just realized why the side of the model facing the buildplate doesnt look -as- good as the one that faces the LCD.

Basically the side facing the LCD is mooshed against the FEP and has a uniform area to cure. Where the space facing the buildplate isnt mooshed and isnt constained outside of the buildplate itself or previous layers.

But there is no way of escaping this limitation outside of well tuned cure times.

So I am hoping to buy a resin based printer soon. :D

I just need a little help picking one out. I've been eyeballing the Photon for a long time, but I've noticed more and more options are cropping up on Amazon. What should I *really* look for in terms of specs?

Also in terms of upkeep, what is considered "consumable" on the printer and how much do the replacements cost on average?

Also what resins are recommended?
