Because of some work and life commitments, have been away from printing for several weeks (4 or so), left resin in vat and the photon has been covered by the shipping box. Any worries other than the separation I see(easily remedied)?

Question for you all: what do you do with left over resin (i.e. not really enough to print with)? If you buy the same type, I assume that you just refill with it.

However, I've got a few bits in bottles that I didn't have a problem with, but isn't color that I will necessarily want again.

Thinking about making a mix just to see how it turns out. Other ideas?

Got given some standard grey elegoo (not the rapid). Never used this. There is only 1 setting in the spreadsheet, wondered if anyone has used it?

Edit: or are all of their resins "rapid resins". looking at their website it looks like the same bottle I got

Those that remove supports AFTER curing: would like know the benefits of doing so. I've only removed them prior to cure.

So my eyesight isn't what his used to be and I'm looking for a magnifier on a cantilever or similar. Obviously many of these come with LED lights, which probably isn't good for when I'm trying to remove supports but may be a plus when painting.

Any recommendations from folks here?

Another pretty good print. The spear shaft behind her hand didn't quite come out, but other than that, pretty good. Props to Miguel Zavala for the model.

Anyone using the MelodySusie to help cure their prints (specifically minis)? How much time to cure? Is the 30min enough (x2 or 3 for different orientations)?

(Pardon if this is too off topic) I've got a question for you all that paint your prints (specifically minis):

I have a translucent (clear) I've been using. I have some "fire" features that I want to color orange/yellow. But I want it to be still translucent. What paint and techniques do you recommend?

This is a shadow demon (thanks Miguel Zavala ) for my current campaign in eSun Bioresin clear at .05, 8 bottom layers at 60s, 6.5s between layers, 11s per layer.

Still need to clean it up a bit, but probably won't paint. The resin gave a nice "frosted glass" look after curing. (Probably could have taken more time in the IPA, but I'm pretty happy with it.). The only settings I /might/ change would be the bottom layers, was tough to get off the build plate, but wasnt too bad.

(His friend behind him is another one of Miguel's models I printed on my FDM printer, an earth elemental primed and ready to paint)

Got a "simple" question. Coming from an FDM printing background (still have my trusty old prusa, it's not going anywhere), I'm curious about some supports tips and tricks.

I will use my photon mainly to print mini's for my d&d campaign, but the question/bane of my existence on the FDM side has been placement and number of supports.

I know with SLA printing the use of supports is a different animal due to the way that SLA printing works. I downloaded chitubox, and imported a model and added supports, with the base up off the build plate by a bit. Where I need help is what, in general to watch for on the support front. (i.e. this kind of geometry needs support, this doesn't)
