Wow this printer keeps impressing me.
Was worried about the ribbon and flowers on the sword piece. Guess im getting my supports dialed in.

Little evening project, hollowed and added drain hole specifically with the led tea candle in mind. Added a bit of dry brush and a wash to ad colour to it during day time, but still giving a "candle" light at night.
Having a great time playing with my photon, only fails I've had so far I can attribute to user error lol . thinking a second photon as the price is right......... But what other printers are available at or around $800-900 ? Just wondering if I should save and get bigger lol

I'd say its been a good first couple weeks with the printer.
Still dialing in my supports and orientation of models. But have had some stuff come out great.
Figuring every printer is different so time to do a exposure test to dial in my details. Any suggestion would be great.

Only a week in and loving the printer. I've gotta work on my support placement and model orientation for sure tho. As I keep getting really shitty bottom surfaces. More than just support pits, but looks like trapped partially cured resin that didn't drip off the surface. Anyways here's a print I just finished today.

So one of many reasons I got my photon was to make custom icons and parts for my space marine army. Well photon is printing great and I love this machine so much I might order a second.
But the part of my whole plan that's not working is my design skills........
Was wondering what free software people might recommend for editing .stl files. I'd like to be able to.
Resize
Curve
Group
And possibly texture existing .stl files.

Was wondering if the fine people of this group could point me in the right direction?

So this was a test, slapped a quick coat of paint on them to see if lines showed.

They show more on the picture then the naked eye, very happy with the quality of the prints within a week of getting my photon .
Now time to design my custom iconography for my army
