Looking for something to use to filter the IPA used for cleaning new parts. I let the IPA sit in the sun to solidify the resin but there is still some really fine particulate matter in it.

Would a coffee filter be good? That is what I am going to try next but any suggestions would be great.

Best practices question.

I have a small part to print that will need a few supports. Is it better to place the supports then duplicate the model however many times I need to fill the build area or duplicate the model first then do the supports?

So I am Googling around to find a volume but what is the approximate volume in liters of 500g of standard grey resin? Would it be about a half liter?

Good morning,

I am looking for recommendations for a small compressor or rechargeable compressed air source for blowing off models and my printers.

It just needs 5-10 second blasts or something like that.

Maybe like an airbrush compressor with a mini tank maybe?

Canned air is just too expensive!

What is your favorite resin vat cover?

Does it need to really seal on the vat or is it more to keep light and dust out?

I am thinking TPU might be a good material.

Thanks for opinions.

Ok so one more test but I think I know the answer.

Again on this part the bottom left and right corners are bowing up a little. The base layer on the plate for the supports stayed attached fine.

It does look like a couple supports close to the corners broke but I don't know if that was during printing or from removal from the build plate.

Either way I think I need to add some supports at the corners to give it more hold.

The other three sides are perfectly straight.

Am I right in thinking it is a support issue and not maybe a little more of less exposure?

Thanks for ideas.

Second question.

Same part as in my last post.

The bottom edge of the part is a little "bowed" as compared to a straight edge. The top and sides are good.

The bottom was fully supported.

Thanks for any advice.

Any thoughts what might have happened here? All of the middle/interior supports failed to print for the most part.

Using ChiTuBox..

I hear a lot about cooler temps and some resins needing a warmer environment.

This can be challenging in the colder months.

I bought this heater for one room that has my printers I use mostly for ABS to help maintain a warmer temp.

The room is 13x13 and nothing great for insulation! This heater is a beast and heats this room to 75f without effort. I was really surprised when I got it going.

Just posting in case anyone is interested in a reasonably priced whole room solution.
