I just noticed my build plate isnt flat. But is actually pretty significantly bulging in the middle. This is causing prints to stick down the middle. But peal near the edges and cause some warping.

I know rhe build plates are never perfect, but whats the fix? I was gonna try more base layers at higher exposure but i wanted some other input

You might be able to take it to a local machine shop and have them spotface it to make it flat.

You can machine it flat but increasing base exposure time will also work.

Assuming you can't return it and get them to send you another, sand it - it's hard to get it flat if the bulge is in the middle, so if it was me, I'd sand only the middle until it is just a tiny bit concave, then use sandpaper stuck down to a flat surface to get it flat from there.

Best thing to do is have a machine shop fly cut the face, it could also be sanded using paper on a piece of granite or other surfaced flat natural stone, but with high in the center like yours, that’s a tough one to get out manually.

Am i suppose to move the build plate to the Home position before starting a print? I had it all the way up (where it moved to at the end of the last print), but it didnt move after starting. Sadly i didnt notice until now. So a little extra work to clean, but what ever.

It should have moved on its own. Sounds like you have a mechanical issue

Shouldn’t have to but every once in a while mine does this as well.

Mine too. Found that turning it off and on before every print fixes it.

For miniature bases (the ones im looking to print are textured on top) what orientation do you find gets the best results? Im guessing the best option is either

Flat on bed
Tilted up from bed 10 or 15 degrees
Straight up on its side
Or straight up but tilted a little.

Im obviously wanting as true to shape as possible, with minimal support marks on visible parts of base.

Thoughts? There are no wrong answers

Its a little hard to see, but The front edge of my bottom layers/support bottoms kinda pealed away from the build plate, everything looks like its printing fine so im assuming it started happening right from the beginning and i got lucky that those supports werent needed

Is this a leveling issue?

Still trying to figuring out scaling lol. I was going for a warhammer sized figure. This is more like a dropzone commander/flames of war. He is a little messy cause im not gonna bother cleaning a model i wont use

So i had my first failure. I was printing a large piece of a display model (a little smaller than a baseball) and then super tiny versions of that model as well.

They all broke off the supports. Since this was my first time using opaque resin, im assuming its under exposure? Or would the supports have failed as well? What interesting is i had 2 sets of the smaller model pieces. You can see the base layers of one on the plate there. But the other has nothing

Anycubic black
4 base layers at 75 seconds.
.05 layer height at 8 seconds

I know there are a ton of factors for itx but im about to use my first "non translucent" resin and was wondering what a good exposure to start with. Im sure Many adjustment will be made along the way, but would you say start at 8 seconds? 2 seconds? ???

Looking for opinions because this is a weird situation.

Order my photon, 2 bottles of extra resin, not including the one that comes with printer, and a pack of fep sheets from anycubic. About a month later i got the printer (delays due to new year and virus. Expected and understandable). But It has been 8 days now and still no extra resin or fep sheets.

Should i give them some more time or send a quick message to check the status of it?

They have a lot on their plate so i dont wanna add more to it if i dont need to. Thoughts?

Finished the base for a spider man i am going to print. I didnt hollow it. So this thing is a beast.

Had a scare mid print where some supports on a wing failed. But after a few layers it fixed itself. After some minor green stuff work you wont even be able to tell.

Skipped the photon cube and did my own test print. Turnes out great imo.

There is this track of what looks like bubbles that kinda zigzags up the middle though. Is it bubbles or something else?

Im painting it anyway so it doesnt bother me. Just wondering
