Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團

I’m doing a lot of research before my printer arrives (ordered about a week ago). I plan on using the photon mostly to print miniatures for dnd. One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of different strategies on how to set supports, drain holes, etc, for prints. Since I don’t have the printer and can’t trial and error this yet I’m wondering what people find the best methods for printing minis are.

Do you prefer to print at an angle?
Do you find you need drain holes for miniatures?
Is there a downside to printing minis straight on the build plate or do you extend supports so that the mini’s base is not on the plate?

I figure a lot of this has to do with the size of the miniature and printing something larger like an ancient dragon is going to be more complicated than medium creature like a zombie or something. Please feel free to share your experience/opinions on both as I’m looking to gather as much info as possible before arrival day and print #1!

Does printing on a Photon S change any of the resin settings?

Good afternoon,

So I switched to Elegoo Grey this week and plan to combine it with the Monocure Flex100 resin.

So I wanted to start using the resin exposure test with the unmixed Elegoo. (To get a feel for it) I completed it and am a bit curious about your opinion, especially the ones that have run the test before me.

Included in this post are some pictures of the test result (Base layer: 100s, Layer height: 0.04) and I'm currently analyzing them. I personally would say 7 (14s) is the best.

I'm also wondering if there is a way to get the base layer exposure settings, or is that just a big enough number to settle the resin?

Thanks for the add to the group, I've owned a Mars printer before and had limited success, just received a photon S as an early Christmas present to myself. I was just wondering if anyone had experimented with another slicer other than the photon workshop?

Hello all, it seems that my resin is getting a little cold by the window and could impacting my prints, what is the best way to warm up the resin and what temp should it be at? I assume the microwave would be a bad idea. Hot water bath for the bottle?

After my second print failed I increased exposure time per layer and tried a different model. Bird man came out flawless until I broke part of his wing clipping away supports. Any tips for removing supports? I’ve seen some people clipping them before curing does anyone recommend this?

Well, it’s only been 2 weeks and I got to change my FEP film already. I must of been a little rough scrapping failed print off it and it got little hole.

Process looks like one of those things that seems so easy but is going to be a huge pain in the ass. Is it difficult to get this on right?
