So smol! This is how small I am able to 3d print my Thomas the Tank Engine 3d model without losing any important details. I am amazed by the print quality of my Photon

Hey guys!

I have a huge problem with Anycubic Orange Resin. I've tried couple of settings including one on the Resin spreadsheet, and nothing. No print sticks to the build plate. It was working fine with Aqua Blue and now I can't seem to be able to print anything. Any settings that work? Help! I got 1 liter of that stuff.

Fellow Photonsters!

I have had my photon for quite a while and have great success with it!

However, I am currently having trouble getting an item to print properly. I have tried a variety of printing orientations for the item, run it through the optimizer, etc. I have increased the bottom layers and increased the time exposure. I can post all of the various details as needed but didn't want to clutter up this post with that at the onset. What I am looking for is some insight as to which way to put the item to increase the success of the print.

Using Elegoo Red. It's a case for a medical device.

Will post more when I get back to my desk

TL;DR: Second print; progress! Still issues with adhesion but improved quality. Help/tips?

--

Hey all! So here's my second print. It printed really good-... what was actually printed. I had the same issue as the first one, on the same side of the bed some things were just pancakes and not adhered to the bed. I did re-level and I thought it was good D:

Also what was printed didn't have a tilted base for the supports or anything. It was perfectly flat, so it feels odd that this would be related to the leveling of the bed. But hey, third's a charm, so I'm trying again.

As for quality, it's improved! Not sure if it's quite there yet, I feel it could be less "smoothed out", but I don't want to risk getting lines. Any pointers towards surface quality improvement are more than welcome! The pictures are my first and second prints, bases for miniatures. The lines aren't as visible in real life.

Anycubic Photon S - Anycubic Green Resin:

Layer height: 0.02mm

Bottom layers: 8

Exposure time: 5s

Bottom exposure time: 60s

If you have any ideas about the adhesion and you'd have some tips on improving quality, I'd be happy to listen! I also wanted to share some progress with you since you were so kind to help me.

Cheers!

What is this crust on my LCD? There are no dead pixels and prints have been fine. Could it be from a leak in the FEP? It does not come off when I scrape it with my fingernail.

I remixed the otherwise awesome De-Stinky-Nator
( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4007108 ) so I can hook up a square-to-round air duct fitting I had laying around, I added a 4mm half-round groove along the top so I can fit a gasket made from 4mm silicone tube (or a bead of silicone caulk... we will see what works best...). A thin test slice (to check tolerances and fit) is printing now... ;-)
