So far, prints have been coming out beautifully. A couple of times when snipping off a support the miniature has snapped off at the ankles. Thinking over curing made it brittle? Last one I did the supports after cleaning but before curing? Is that a good practice? Thanks!

Ok. Next problem.How do I ensure that my base layers adhere to the buildplate more securely? They are warping which is then leading to a partially distorted print.

Hey all. Been printing with FDM for a little over a year now and looking to get my first resin printer. I will be printing mostly table top minis. I am looking at the Photon or Photon S. What is the difference and which would be best for me? Some have said the Photon is more than enough and has wider community support which is a selling point for me as well as it being less money but what would I be gaining out of the Photon S? Thanks for the help. These are my first steps into resin printing so I am sure I will have lots of questions.

First print didn't stick to the FEP. Releveled and started again. Hearing the thunk now! Just being here the few days I've learned so much from everyone.

Printing completed, now to sand a few spots and fix a few tiny holes with resin or air dry clay. Then glue and paint, satisfied with how well it printed. Stands about 11" tall

Hey guys! Thanks for your add to the group.

So, I purchased a Anycubic Photon S a couple of days ago, waiting for it to arrive in the start of next week - very excited. I read through this group here and noticed a few people had their machine arrive without resin, even though it's stated that it comes with a sample bottle of 250ml.

Now, I am really excited about this machine, so if the machine shows up without resin that does put a dent in my carefully laid plans - I have done some research and I am looking forward to testing the machine, learning how best to use it and take care of it, but if I don't have anything to print that becomes a big problem.

To avoid this issue entirely I thought that I might as well order a bottle of resin now. I am mainly going to use the machine to print miniatures for tabletop RPG and Wargaming and the occasional terrain piece, though I am going to limit the latter.

Here's my question for those of you with experience; What kind of resin should I get for miniature models for Tabletop RPGs? I have read a few articles and the PrimaCreator Value does seem to fit the job, but Elegoo Rapid from what I can see looks to be fine as well, but there are some reports that models with Elegoo are a bit brittle. So... what kind of resin do you guys reccomend for what I'm gonna use it for, I can see that there's a few other people using their Photon for similar purposes so rain your wisdom upon me!

What causes melting effects like this? .04 at 8 sec, elegoo grey. Sun curing. Didnt look like this when it went out to cure. Lots of other models in the same batch turned out fine.

This is the worst I've ever seen it, but on occasion a seam will "fill in" during curing this way. Is it just pools of resin that didnt get cleaned off? I scrubbed pretty vigorously. Not clearing out my alcohol bucket often enough? Something else I'm missing?
