Hmm, looks overexposed. What's your layer height and exposure time? Were supports really hard to take off the model?

Nick Van Oort later height is the default and the exposure was 8. I think I may have left it in hot water for too long prior to taking the supports off

Andy Johnny Young Maybe. I'm not sure how uncured resin reacts to water. If it expands, then that may be your issue.

The most common cause is overexposure, if by blurry you mean lost details or mushy looking. Then but less common is underexposure

As someone else said it’s hard to tell without pictures. There are several reasons so would also recommend telling us things like resin, settings and anything else you can think of to get good help.

If they have glycerol and hydrogen peroxide they can make hand sanitizer. The world health organisation did a post on how it's to be done

This is the recipe if you want to make hand sanitiser with 1l of ipa you can probably make over 1.5l etc

Here I just read a share on FB from someone working in a hospital near, that visitors are actually stealing desinfectans and gloves and such...
Good thing I don't catch people doing that... cause I'd be tempted to give that person a valid reason to have to stay at the hospital after such an act....

Gave the surgical masks leftover from when my mother was still alive a few years ago (she had lung infection) to my neighbour's daughter who's an OR nurse... here in Belgium, thanks to the idiocy of our politicians, the order of masks never arrived due to suspicion of fraudulent actions on behalf of the producers, one of the health minister's party member being involved in it... and when no other European country will help, it's the chonese people who will help us by sending tons of masks in emergency. They even sent respiratory equipment and doctors in Italy to help !!! Kudos to them for that too !

Voting day here in Illinois. Dropped off a box of gloves for the volunteers

I have another batch to make, but half of my gallon is all going to a church that delivers lunches to kids who are out of school and rely on school lunches for a meal. They are getting about 3,500 lunches out a week, and coming into contact with people in the process. They wear gloves, but have said it would be nice to have sanitizer.

This alcohol is doing way more good then just washing resin off of D&D models.

Did you put a Verizon SIM card in your printer? This would probably explain your issue.

Which firmware? Make sure you have at least 4.2.18 on it.

Another one I heard for this kind of issue is that the DRAM chip can need to be reflowed.

Well I think that bug (frame shearing) only shows up on certain files. Not sure if this fits that particular issue or not, but firmware is easy to try. Vinicius Silva might have more ideas.

Ummm Verizon ads have gotten more aggressive

I had something like this happening. Support had me downgrade firmware to 14.2.12 and problem was fixed. Reach out to them with your serial number and a link to this video, see what they advise

Yeah, the antialiasing does a decent job of hiding what it’s doing. That looks about like what I was seeing, but I’ve still not got mine tuned - it’s still overcooking.

John Jones that's maybe because the photon zero's screen is just under the FEP , there is not glass protection on it , so the diffraction of the light is null and the pixel precision is better ;)
You can do the same with some diy on the photon or photon S

What size is the model? Can't tell how good the details are unless we know what we're looking at. Looks pretty good to me though!

You have to reverse the glass with the LCD , all infos are on the link ;)

that also happens to be the shape you see if you do a test exposure, so i would assume something to do with that, but i couldent say what would cause this, take the build plate off, tank out and do a print and see whats showing on teh screen as it "prints"

Angelus Mew Ellis yeah this i what i always do before a real print. Dry printing without the vat and plate. The lcd then show s the right one, after i cancel the print, put in the vat and plate, press on print again and this is comming out... Yeah looks like the test exposure, but i never touch it so why would it print it? So strange...

Kevin Duong there's a layer view as it prints. If you see the layer view is a big rectangle like this then you'd be best served stopping the print right then rather than exposing the whole vat of resin.

Update firmware, happened to me, if you are on the last és firmware just update again and all back to normal

Take the resin vat out and run the print and make sure it's not doing that then cancel it then run it again with the vat back inside

same for me also, On print goes this bad. After flashing no more trouble.

connect USB , only after to turn on the printer. if you do before, motherboard has problems loading external ports

make sure to power off the printer and power it back on before the print.

pause it after 5min to make sure its printing correctly.

Kevin Duong so if you run the test how long do you set it for? Default is 200s. If you hit pause by accident then hit print again you are just resuming that test print for the remainder of the 200s which makes sense seeing as to how this is one solid block. The other question is when you hit print does the plate drop into the vat? With out code to tell the plate to raise to certain height that test screen would not print anything that thick. It is almost like you are running the lcd test with the vat in-place.

Update Firmware, this happened to me a few months ago and that fixed it

Yes, it typically just pops off. The glue you might be thinking of would probably just be dried resin that seeped in between the fep and the tension plate

Alfons Gunnesgård no, I wouldn't. You'll need to replace the FEP every now and then

Alfons Gunnesgård yes. With all those screws, the FEP acting as a gasket and the recessed track you screw the frame to, there shouldn't be any leaks

Dåligt att det inte är som på Photon maskinerna att man bara kan byta filmen utan behöva köpa ett kit som fördyrar för kunden, sen är det frågan om det skulle det gå att använda Photon behållaren med lite modifiering. Har själv bara bytt FEP film en gång och har säkert kört upp 15 liter resin, filmen kan se hemskt ful ut men det funkar ändå.

So you’ll have to get the test and print mode files from GitHub

Load the test and print mode files into usb like a sliced file. Then “print” the test mode file, then print your resin exposure test then “print” print mode to return your printer to stock settings.
