Hi!
Has anyone had this problem before?

I print like 100 of this pieces every day but im having a problem that didnt happen before....

The object prints perfect (same file used more than 30 times), i wash it in isopropyl alcohol 96% for 3 minutes. I leave it in a bag or resting at the desk and the next day 80% of the pieces look like the photo.

This happens in 3 different photons with different tanks and different objects. But exactly the same lines.

This happens with different files.

Resin is Anycubic Skin mixed with Siraya Tenacious (10%)

Settings:

0.05mm layer

6 seconds exposure

Thanks!

Is the resin bad?

David Calle
2020-04-01 05:59:01

Hi, no the resin expires in June, i have also tried different liters of resin but same problem

Clifford Schwankner
2020-04-01 05:59:17

So dont mis these 2 try a different mix...imho

Oksana Shevchenko
2020-04-01 05:59:22

David Calle interesting! I have no clue

Omar Rdx
2020-04-01 06:05:24

Maybe you need to high a little the exposure time

Mike Johnson
2020-04-01 06:11:21

You adding more resin mid print? I've noticed similar things when I've done that and the temp of the resin is different (higher) than what's in the bottle

Vinny Bryant
2020-04-01 06:11:30

I would try 8 seconds exposure

Peter Everett
2020-04-01 06:17:55

Has there been a big temperature change since this started happening?

Justin Miller
2020-04-01 06:21:01

What happens when you do a shorter rinse? I only rinse mine for like 30 seconds. Then I'd also try leaving them in open air?

Joseph Haiflich
2020-04-01 06:30:39

I don't use mine for dental implants. Is there a reason you mix the resins?

Krzysztof Babilon
2020-04-01 06:38:57

well same thing is happening to my also Anycubic resin but different machine. My thinking was too long ipa soak (4h) but recently im seeing a lot of people w similar issue (different resin brands and different machines)

David Calle
2020-04-01 06:40:43

I though about it, but the problem is the design has internal holes 0.6mm, so if i add exposure time they print solid. I have been printing this like 6 months straight but i got this problem like 2 months ago. Same settings , really weird

David Calle
2020-04-01 06:41:18

Nope, but i have been adding heat to the resin before pouring it in the tank

David Calle
2020-04-01 06:42:45

The flexible resin makes it better for preventing a fracture of the model

David Calle
2020-04-01 06:43:22

Ill try that to see if it works, thanks!

David Calle
2020-04-01 06:44:00

No, same temperature, like 25 C

Joel Reid
2020-04-01 06:44:34

Temperatire and exposure while curing. Is it getting warmer where you are? Or is the sun shining on it more directly than before?
Badically... Are you in Northern hemisphere?

Jeremy Babcock
2020-04-01 07:20:02

Interesting its happening over multiple printers that were previously working well ? I would think it’s a slicing or resin quality issue. Are you using the same sliced file that was previously working well? Or is it a new slice?

Chris Roberts
2020-04-01 08:34:02

Perhaps they're not getting mixed well enough. But if its happening in the same spots across different prints and machines it could be something with the file being corrupt or the object itself needs repaired in some like MS 3d Builder.

Jarin Udom
2020-04-01 08:59:03

Sometimes turning the printer off and then back on again fixes weird problems

Marco Rivera
2020-04-01 11:27:56

That usually happens when you dont have enough exposure and need more post curing. Are you using a UV lamp or cure box?

Tom Lawton
2020-04-01 13:04:09

What's the official lifetime for the Photon's UV lamp....? Perhaps wearing out..?

Marcin Kaleta
2020-04-01 14:22:52

If you soak to long in IPA you have to use uv lamp quickly after you remove r sin from the soaking and it's just that

Vincent Balmont
2020-04-01 17:04:37

Krzysztof Babilon 4 hour soak? I do about 10 seconds in methylated spirits

Eileen Bowen
2020-04-02 01:42:09

your usb stick and file could have gone corrupted?not quite the same but I have had trusted file become corrupted over time..... Are you using a name brand usb stick? They crappy no name Chinese ones are not to be fully trusted.

Krzysztof Babilon
2020-04-02 03:36:57

No Bueno, I just got an order of 2L of Siraya Grey from Amazon and the package looked like it was out in the rain (it's sunny out). Open it up and one of the bottles lids was loose and leaked. Thankfully it wasn't sitting in a puddle of the stuff and the delivery guy was wearing gloves. They really need to put warnings on the outside of the boxes. I wasn't even sure what the package was as it wasn't supposed to be here till thursday or friday.
