Has anyone tried tinting the anycubic clear with anything? I have some parts I want to tint a specific shade of red and others blue.

Can it be done?

Inkjet printer refill ink. Cheap (full CMYK set is about 10$) and works pretty well

You can search online for proportions but a good 3-5 drops of ink will add a good stamina and keep transparency.

Used both the Monocure cmyk dye set and also Jacquard alcohol ink without issue. Definitely possible.

I put a couple of drops of Windor and Newton red ink into my clear resin and it printed a lovely translucent colour.

I’m going to try some tamiya red/blue paint I think. Worst case is it turns to sludge and I have to replace the film. Hardly a catastrophic failure

Not seen much on these new settings! Original is 3 mm/s I whacked it up to 10 mm/s and took this print from 10hrs down to six hrs! Game changer !

I have had my Anycubic Photon for almost a year .. used it quite a lot with good results .. but today after finishing off a batch I then I clean down the machine, changed the film and loaded a new model .. but it produced nothing .. it looks to me like the projector has gone .. there is no projected image of my model on the lens plate. All I can see are four squares on the left hand side. Is this familiar territory to anyone?

Oh the disappointment! I had a beautiful frost giant mini running last night only to wake up to an empty resin vat and a 90% completed model half! It will be used as a terrain piece so isn't a complete waste but is this just part of the learning curve?

Appreciate all the past help, im getting more acquainted with resin , but I'm back with a couple more queries!

This is my second and third print. Wanted to try something a bit more intricate, but there has been issues!

1. I'm using the 'Hollow' function as standard....is this a wise thing to do? On these pics some areas are more white and solid and I guess that's the bits that cant be hollowed?

2. I'm guessing this shows up more becasue it's a translucent resin?

3. The second pic, i lost an arm (I'm guessing my supports here weren't upto scratch), and the face lost definition, is this becasue the layer setting should be 0.05? It was that as standard, but I changed to 0.1

4. Anti Aliasing is set to 1. This Zero model can go to x16.....would I set it here as standard?

Any advice gratefully received. Ive looked through previous answers and have watched some you tube vids, but would like some direct feedback too.

I am running models again but this time in grey .

Paint the edges, som grey highlights on the black and some ink on the white will help you. Can also build up the tones on the skull from a brown and then slowly mix it up to some white/bleached bone ??
