Okay so I didn't know this was going to come on this soon but the doctor warned me!
I have hypothyroidism and it does interesting things to the body and in my case at is turn the palms of my hands and my fingers into duct tape!
No not sticky it's sticky enough that it stretches the skin between the fingers when I separate them!
Why am I telling you all of this gross stuff?
because now I can't tell if the parts are clean after they go through different regimes the cleaners.
They're probably incredibly clean but I cannot tell because of my sticky fingers.
So I think I'm feeling the residue of the cleaner and I'm going to attempt a hot water dish soap soak.
What I'm saying is find a way you don't have to stop what you're doing from some small mality.

Aiden Sone well after there clean my fingers say not!
Ya I have been on it now for years and we knew it was going to come to this and we were going to have to find changes. I'm digging in now to find out how much of it could be corrected by diet.

Just what this made me think of

So I have been printing in the Anycubic green resin that comes with the Anycubic photon. I’ve heard complaints from people I’ve printed for that it’s brittle and breaks easy. So I asked around and was given the advice to mix it with monocure flex resin. So I bought the bottle in the pics. However, I do not know how much to mix in and what I should change my settings to. Any advice?

I use 10%

Sjefke Poulussen
2020-03-30 02:25:43

I print with a 4:1 mix of anycubic to monocure flex100 on a 10 second exposure time

Jacob Hale
2020-03-30 02:31:19

Start at 10% flex to base ratio as a test, if that's not good enough, work your way up by 10% to however much flexibility you want.

Zena Andreou
2020-03-30 02:53:45

depends on how flexible you want the print to be or just shatter proof. 10% flex is a good starting point..
For 20% flex to 80% anycubic I typically add 2 seconds to my curing time.. so give it a go with 10 as it is on a small model and you can increase by a second or two if it doesn't turn out as good

Chris Carter
2020-03-30 03:37:35

I use a 10%flex to 90% Anycubic green. 15 Sec exposure at 0.05 on original Photon

Scott Ball
2020-03-30 04:20:55

Does the color of the anycubic have any impact on the exposure time? I use anycubic grey and would also like to add on some flex.

Zena Andreou
2020-03-30 04:42:26

Scott Ball not really as flex is transparent. Just need to adjust the exposure for the mix

Scott Ball
2020-03-30 04:50:04

Zena Andreou Thanks! So would you still recommend just adding 2 seconds to the exposure time?

Zena Andreou
2020-03-30 04:54:49

Scott Ball if you are going for a 20 or 25% of flex. Yes. If you go 10% try one second more. Mix them very well. I generally measure in 2 different cups, pour them in a bottle and shake

Scott Ball

Dude, Siraya Grey with Tenacious mix. Haven’t had a failed print yet and it’s super strong

Mike Allen Jr.

thanks but I’m looking to use up what I have before I move to different stuff.

Joe Papa Behre Behrend
2020-03-30 08:11:14

Mike Allen Jr. i understand. When you do, try it out. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done with printing

Kevin Rank
2020-03-30 08:43:08

Mike Allen Jr. Tenacious is just like Monocure Flex. I've been really happy with Siraya Tech stuff. Like Joe said, the Gray (non-brittle) is awesome. I use that stuff straight up without any flex added and it holds up really well. My older Anycubic green stuff is a lot more fragile.

Herman Simpson
2020-03-30 09:33:04

A 10:1 ratio allows me to print minis that survive a 4 for drop.

Scott Pavlich
2020-03-30 10:21:08

Joe Papa Behre Behrend That’s become my go to....can literally bounce them off the floor without breaking

Kory Kendziora

Flex100 is insanely strong smelling as an fyi. You HAVE to have outside ventilation.

Bryan Jolson
2020-03-31 02:35:14

Joe Papa Behre Behrend what mix ratio, what printer, what exposure time?

Joe Papa Behre Behrend
2020-03-31 03:10:26

Bryan Jolson i do a 75% Grey, 25% tenacious, and i follow the exact guidelines Siraya recommends. Haven’t failed me yet

Bryan Jolson
2020-04-01 02:42:33

what type of minis? I tend to print BattleTech ones which are heavier and I find break easier than the dungeons and dragons ones which have less mass.

Herman Simpson
2020-04-02 08:52:52

These 4. The ship in the back is the heaviest but to your point that one is about 80/15% mix.

So, there's no need to pick one of eight, but is it considered a valid result?

File from stock stick, RERF on Photon Zero.

所以, 沒有必要從八個中選一個, 但它被認為是有效的結果嗎?

來自stock stick的檔案, rerf在光子零.

Did 7 not print?

Oleksandr Panforov
2020-03-30 01:50:07

Oksana Shevchenko they were fine at the first layers with high exposure, yet later on sticked to the FEP.

Oksana Shevchenko
2020-03-30 01:52:01

That is interesting. First thought is obviously, it the plate level. Second is .. there might be demons in your machine...

How do you know the first layers were fine? I can't tell for a few hours.

Also, what are your settings

Oksana Shevchenko
2020-03-30 01:52:43

Is the resin you're using compatible with the settings

Oleksandr Panforov
2020-03-30 01:54:55

Oksana Shevchenko I paused after layers with high exposure (first five), then resumed.

Settings are from the stock stick, as well as the file. So, can't be sure.

First time using such test, before was randomly adjusting settings based on the table with settings. Was great with Photon S ?

Oksana Shevchenko
2020-03-30 01:55:37

Oleksandr Panforov ah ok. Try again without pausing? I have a horrid fear of that. Lolol

Oksana Shevchenko
2020-03-30 01:56:09

It's weird that it would unstick after

Oleksandr Panforov
2020-03-30 01:56:22

Oksana Shevchenko sure pausing is ok, it even worked with miniatures without a seam

Oksana Shevchenko
2020-03-30 01:57:13

Oleksandr Panforov I can't possibly think of what it could be then.

Oleksandr Panforov
2020-03-30 01:58:57

Oksana Shevchenko I'll try to re-level the bed and drop some actual sliced file.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Have you tried Photon Zero? Any tips?

Oksana Shevchenko
2020-03-30 01:59:53

Oleksandr Panforov I haven't. I'm pretty new to this whole mess as it is. I get really weird issues myself.

John Bkly
2020-03-30 02:19:30

Yeah, I printed the sample file for the photon I just got a month ago. The same one. It actually printed all 8 but then when I tried to print something else, it stuck to the FEP. I did do the firmware update and I level the bed and tune the FEP to 3 10 to 333 hz using the Spectrum phone app and that seems to help a bit. Though my last print did have one of the three ball turrets I was printing stick to the FEP rather than the build plate.

Oleksandr Panforov
2020-03-30 02:20:31

John Bkly could you please elaborate more on the FEP tune process?
Never heard of it before

John Bkly
2020-03-30 02:22:15

Just follow the tuning part of the video. Though I have it book marked for when I will eventually need to replace the FEP

Jonathan Basseri
2020-03-30 02:43:22

I got the Photon Zero and AnyCubic Black resin, but I have not yet tried the rerf file that came with it. The AnyCubic cube test print failed on me 2/2 tries, so I've just been doing my own slicing settings.

Robin Stiller
2020-03-30 03:46:11

I love my zero, yeah I get a failure every now and then, but I attribute that to being a resin noob , I would say try releveling, I followed the quick start sheet to a t

Oleksandr Panforov
2020-03-30 04:04:25

Jonathan Basseri I also have some Anycubic black. Could you share your settings?

Also, is there a some sort of table with settings, like for the Photon and Photon S?

Oleksandr Panforov
2020-03-30 04:04:43

Great, thanks a lot

Jonathan Basseri
2020-03-30 04:43:21

Oleksandr Panforov I have yet to see much data for the photon zero since it's so new.

I'm still a resin printing noob, so I know my settings are not great. 0.05 layers with 8 second exposure seems okay, but I think going to 0.03 layers with 5 or 6 seconds will be better. Yet to verify.

I also need to figure out anti aliasing

Oleksandr Panforov
2020-03-30 04:45:38

Jonathan Basseri I think painted it'll look glorious.

Sure thing, it's new, so we're like trailblazers here. Yay for us! ?

Jonathan Basseri
2020-03-30 05:31:47

Oleksandr Panforov ?

You have to look closely to see the voxels, but I saw much better prints from the Zero on 3D Printing Pro YouTube review.

原文網址 Ernest Sandridge Ill
2020-03-30 01:41:34

So, with the release of the Mega Zero, is it worth it compared to the i3 Mega S?
Reading, I am not noticing much difference other than layer being .05 for S and .1 for Zero and print volume being slightly larger. Would layer make that much difference in detail?
I don't know the nozzle diameter for the S but the Zero says .4. Does anyone know what it is for the S?
So with these slight known differences, is it worth it? Would the Zero be a better option other than cost wise compared to the S?

Can you even tell at this point they were fails? The tops of the heads ran out of resin. But sliced the tops and printed them. Do some sanding and clean up they will be good to go.

hi all

thought i would share an experiment i carried out. i wanted to see the minimum line width that i could print.

i printed this test piece and each line is cut to a different depth (0.05 / 0.08 / 0.1 / 0.2 / 0.3). for each set of 5 the width of the line is printed on the item and the spacing between lines is 0.5mm.

i was impressed that lines of 0.05mm were still showing up

this was printed at 0.02mm layer height and printed flat on the buildplate, any theories as to whether there would be better detail printing at a particular angle?

Jason Pedersen
2020-03-30 01:04:31

If this was printed at an angle, you would begin to see layer and pixel lines. Great test though, with informative results.

Andy Turtle Consiglio
2020-03-30 01:26:45

You know, I've been having a hard time printing at 0.02 layer height. What settings do you use when you print at that height?

Jim Monty
2020-03-30 01:31:41

i have Ameralabs AMD3 and i print at 4 sec exposures

Jim Monty
2020-03-30 02:06:16

im trying a vertical print now

Andy Turtle Consiglio
2020-03-30 03:17:20

Cool thank you!

Jim Monty
2020-03-30 03:42:17

right, a vertical (upright) print at 0.02mm gives much better definition even after priming. the negative spaces are between 0.085 and 0.12mm and the heights of each block average 0.5mm

Jim Monty
2020-03-30 03:42:45

primed these are the upright ones

Jim Monty
2020-03-30 03:43:45

and these are the less defined printed flat on build plate
