Is the plant based resin really that bad, or do I just suck? Cannot get a decent surface quality on vertical surfaces, whatever i do...

Siraya Tech Fast Grey resin works pretty well. Before curing, it's a little more rubbery feeling than other resins I've used. And, I may have gone a tad bit overboard on the supports. But it was worth it cause everything turned out so well. The only issue I have is that through heroforge, you can have customers text on the bottom of the model, and I can never get that to print correctly. Everything else prints perfectly. I also accidentally broke his tail off while trimming the supports.

buenos dias! una duda, el fill transparente del deposito de resina de la anycubic photon puede ser reemplazado por algun acetato que tenga a mano? o tengo que comprar necesariamente otro fill transparente del mismo tipo?

Hey guys! Does anyone know why i'm having problems printing flat parts parallel to the bed? They won't come out flat, they do get a weird curved shape

Any idea? Thank you!

So... Can anyone explain to me why variable layer height (an awesome feature to get better prints in less time pioneered by Prusa in its slicer) isn't a thing with (M)SLA printing & slicers? I do realize exposure times need to go up the thicker the layers are, but what would be the problem of defining a factor for every resin that lengthens exposure time in tandem with layer height? I thought maybe the reason nobody does this is that longer exposure means that there's an xy "expansion" around the edges that would result in an uneven print over the z height... What are your thoughts on this?

I know I've been posting a lot but y'all are hella nice and helpful

Anyways, anyone here have tips for splitting up larger models for print? Then piecing them together later? My primary 3D modeling program is zBrush and someone wants a chonky lil panda. Because of the size front to back I'd need to cut him in half.

(I will probably make a thingsiverse or something account as well and link that once I get models going.)

So i have had a fume exhaust with a suction fan and a big active carbon filter container attached to my printer for a while since i am using the printer in my home. The fumes this way were barely noticeable using elegoo resin which is already less stinky then other resins BUT yesterday for whatever reason again there was a much more noticeable smell.

So now i have decided that i will find an enclosure and put the printer in that which will hopefully eliminate all the remaining leakage possibilities out of the printer for the fumes which i assume is causing the smell.

Since i do not have too much space to play around with it i looked at IKEA where i can find a suitable sized plastic container which according to the site seals airtight. I would cut out a part for the exhaust pipe to the active carbon filter and seal up the area between the box and the pipe to keep the airtight aspect of the box intact.

Anyone who has done something similar can share their experiences? Does it work to fully eliminate any remaining resin fume leakage? Anything to consider when doing an airtight enclosure like this?

Cheers
