Yay Resin! I love my new prusa parts printed in elegoo grey resin... I mean yeah its ugly (maybe I can find a nice pumpkin color. Its not a prusa if its not orange). but the petg hotend parts melted in the build chamber on the first print. I reprinted with resin and no issues what so ever.

I feel like i should be able to get more detailed, compared to some of the ones i've seen in here, particularly in the face. Any thoughts?

Anycubic Grey is my resin, shaken very well. Also supports are PrusaSlicer 50% everywhere

Having a problem with suction. I have gotten no further than 8% into my latest print before everything on the build plate pulls off the build plate and sits in the vat.

I am using Siraya Easy, running 8 base layers, 160s base exposure (hey, I was trying to make it work...), 16s exposure. I don't have a heater, I'm running in an air conditioned apartment, I've installed the 3m 6001 filter (which doesn't do a lot to fix the smell, but helps some). I know the build plate is level, because I get 6-9% without issues before it rips free, and when I check earlier, the print is definitely on the build plate.

I did fully load the plate, and put 8 artisan guild models on it at once, hollowed, with holes to each hollow section. Prepared with Prusa slicer at 150% for supports (seems like that worked fine as all supports are good).

Used the photon and siraya blu to print these print+ headphone earcups and postcured in my diy uv box (prusa parts box with aluminum foil and led from amazon). The resin print actually has a functional thread and the baffle screws on perfectly.

I’ve finally finished my Deadpool! Printed on the PRUSA MK3 and guns done on the Photon S. Printed in eSun grey at 0.08 layer height and Anycubic Green in 0.02. Painted by me in Vallejo paints.

I’ve tried to make it as movie accurate as possible.

He’s about 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide.

Hi Today tried Prusa slicer for supports and then anycubic slicer for slicing. Great combination with great results. The supports just snap off very easy

For those that do the Prusa slicer to Chitubox workflow, what are your support settings? Do you run the sl1 profile for supports? I set up a custom area to the photon print bed.

Just a quick post on the alternative process for resin slicing. As you might have seen, people are using PrusaSlicer 2.0 to add their supports (I also use it to scale and orient my models). Then use 'File/Export/Export plate as STL including supports' menu item to save the result. Pull this into ChiTuBox and just arrange on the build plate. I've done about 4 print jobs this way on my Anycubic Photon and I've had very nice results. It seems like the Prusa Slicer is a bit better at automatically setting up supports. I've attached my profile ini file from PrusaSlicer. Only the support settings matter, so ignore the layer height, .etc.

Just a tip from a tip. Download Prusa Slicer and select the Prusa SL1 as your printer. Load your STL and use the support generator at 50% density.

It's the the best support generator and package I came across. No more pillars touching the object.

Export as STL with support and import into Photon Slicer.

This is my best way to improve prints at this moment.

Got a "simple" question. Coming from an FDM printing background (still have my trusty old prusa, it's not going anywhere), I'm curious about some supports tips and tricks.

I will use my photon mainly to print mini's for my d&d campaign, but the question/bane of my existence on the FDM side has been placement and number of supports.

I know with SLA printing the use of supports is a different animal due to the way that SLA printing works. I downloaded chitubox, and imported a model and added supports, with the base up off the build plate by a bit. Where I need help is what, in general to watch for on the support front. (i.e. this kind of geometry needs support, this doesn't)
