Is there a reason to use Meshmixer instead of Prusa to split models? I'm already doing supports in Prusa.

Spend ages working on supports on my first big print. Most of the volume will be used. But man. Slicing sucks. Take model in prusa slicer. Auto support. Takes good 6 minutes. Export for chitu. Chitu takes 10 minutes to slice add another good 10 minutes to write the file. 7 minutes for the validator. Rinse and repeat as I work out islands. Good solid 3 hours of on and off mostly spend waiting for slicing.

29 hour print has started. Please pray for me.

Is there a way to add a 45 degree angle to the bases of supports in Prusa, like is done in Chitubox? It really helps get the supports off the build plate.

It bonds to bed, it bonds to the FEP. But the support structure shreds. These little goblins were supported in Prusa, sliced in Chitu, then run through Validator. .03 layer at 8 sec exposure, Elegoo grey. These are settings I've used to get many good prints, no problems the first two months I owned the printer, but this has all ive been getting recently. I've relieved the bed and replaced the FEP. Potential leads to investigate would be appreciated.

Photon S users, what is the best process for using photon validator? Currently I use the following process:

- Prusaslicer for auto supports, export
- Chitubox, add supports as necessary, export as photon file
- Photon Validator, manually fix large islands bouncing between programs. Once all the large islands are supported in chitubox I slice it one final time, again as a photon (not photon.s file), run through validator to fix the remaining pixels, then save and print.

Is this the optimal process? Am I losing anything by not printing as a photon.s file?

Thanks in advance!

Failed print overnight. Used Prusa for supports, sliced in Chitobox. Using Monocure rapid grey resin. Was stuck to build plate ok just didn’t fully print and the rest was stuck in flat sheets to the FEP. WTF happened ? ?

Any idea why these supports would fail? They were done in Prusa Slicer, with auto supports at 75%. I also added other supports manually. It seems like I've only had issues with supports failing with Elegoo grey resin for some reason. This was printed at 0.05 and 6 sec exposure on a Photon S. Also this is fresh off the printer, did not put in IPA bath yet.

Hello, i'm kinda new to printing i use photon s and i find very problematic the support ideea. I cant find a good way to print something without needing tons of supports that goes to lots of problems cleaning them and leaving lots of dents in the body. I've tried auto-orientation on prusa with auto suports from it, tried chitubox and same stuff... any ideea about how to set up the suports to minimize the impact on the object that i print so i dont lose details because of the supports

Cheers :)

Ok y'all, let's say I was feeling lazy and just really wanted to print something quickly using auto supports. What auto support settings do you recommend in chit/prusa? Density/size/Prusa vs chit/ etc. (Don't know if it matters but I'm using anycubic grey)
