For those of you who use prusa auto supports, have you changed the settings at all? I have been using them for a while but if theres a better way to do it I'd love to hear it!

I tried using Prusa for auto-supports like I’ve seen so popular among Photon owners, but I’ve had 90% of my models fall in the vat. I’ve started adding more supports along with the Prusa auto-supports, but I’m still not having great luck. I’ve switched back to using Chitubox and adding my own supports, and I get nearly 100% success, but it’s just so time consuming. Anyone have any tips for their success with quick/automated supports? I’m a busy dad with little time to tinker around with my printer, so I’d love to get my workflow moving faster, so I can spend more time doing the things like actually (finally) painting my models. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to read this and give some advice. ?

Hello photonsters! I require assistance, my printer isn't doing what I want it to.

I've been doing supports for my prints (including rafts) in prusaslicer as I prefer it to chitubox, then exporting them as an STL and using chitubox to slice them and saving them as .photon files.

In the chitubox preview everything looks as I expect, but when I print an extra raft gets added under the one that's already there!?

The photo below shows it pretty well, there's a step on the edge of the raft and it's about 1.5mm thick, I don't want the lower part to appear at all, it's not supposed to be there!

Have included a picture of the bottom of the print on chitubox as well as my raft settings, please help, I'm wasting so much resin ?

This is a silly post, but i kinda wanted to give my input.

Probably this is because of my lack of knowledge, but i kinda like the Photon Workshop. I tried Chitubox, Lychee, Prusa and one more that deleted same day :) . I know most other slicers might provide more tools, but i can do exactly what I want with the Photon Workshop.

Any others out there? :)

Hey guys, not certain what this failure is from. I tried just using prusa slicer with minor adjustments since manual supports were taking to long. I’m assuming it’s a support failure?

Guys!

Does anybody use PrusaSlicer for supports? I love the easily removable support it makes, but I'm not sure if it's OK to go with it. With Chitubox most of the supports left some damage to the surface even the small ones. I've tried PrintingPro's recommendation, though the support was not that easy to remove.

If you're like me not fond of the washing/curing process and not looking forward to 500€ + machines for that, this, might be a solution. I have been using it for the past months and it is a blast. Let me know what you think of it ! https://www.prusaprinters.org/…/19382-cheap-cure-wash-modul…

Thingiverse will follow tomorrow.

Since switching to using prusa to generate supports I’ve been having a lot of suction while the printer establishes a base. Is that harmful to the fep or normal? I hear it pop every time it lifts

Hi guys ! What could possibly leads to missing/malformed parts ?

I used PrusaSlicer for supports, Chitubox for slicing on a Photon S.

I think I've leveled it like a thousand times :(

Thank you for helping
