Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » Instructions

So I've asked around a few times and gotten some helpful responses, but I've been trying to figure out the most effective method for placing supports on models with complicated topology. I wanted to share a method that I'm trying that I hope will prove effective and useful for others. If this way is too cumbersome, clunky, inefficient, or if this is already how most folks are doing it, my bad! I'm a lazy boy and used to rely on auto supports for most, then manual supports for whatever it missed, but even that wasn't usually accurate, so I may have missed the train when folks were handing out support instructions.

My issue is that some models have too many densely packed islands, and my instinct is to put supports on them all. I struggle with understanding just how small these models will print while I'm zoomed in to each layer trying to fit what is visually a large support on a large island, only to have it print and remind me that what I was trying to support was no wider than a needle or something. Now every single thing is supported, but all the support columns are so tightly fused that it forms one big column that's a pain to remove cleanly.

What I'm trying now is taking the model, angling it the way I want, slicing it with no supports, then using the sliced layer as a reference point when I open the same model up in another Chitubox window to place the supports. The sliced model shows me what the Photon will actually print (pictured on the right) vs. what my mind brain tells me I should support (pictured left).

Is this sound? Did I just make a post about something super obvious or already widely practiced?

I see everyone posting the resin exposure test. My Google fu is failing me and I can’t seem to figure out where everyone got it .photon file. Could someone share a link to this file with instructions?

Well here goes nothing ? ? . Gonna follow all the setup instructions I have seen on here and the settings for printing the green anycubic. However, I did order grey elegoo. Should I go ahead and just start with elegoo and be done with it or go ahead and run the green first?

HELP: Getting holes in the center of the fep film.

I had a defect in my fep film and had to replace. Followed the advise of AnyCubic and used the supplied film, torqued screws according to instructions, used bottle cap, and set tension to between 275-350hz using an app.

I re-leveled the bed each time. I know how to do this because i have successfully printed many times.

However, i have replaced the fep 2 times with factory replacement fep and each time i am getting holes with known prints that work well. Using AnyCubic brand resin green and grey both failed.

What is happening?

I am running the most recent update, and having issues with the Resin XP test. the test.gcode isn't showing up on the screen.
Tried loading a different stick, and that was missing everything but the instructions and the print.gcodeon the Photon.

Strange

Recently in installing a new 2K LCD screen under warranty from Anycubic on my Photon, my main board went bad.. and in a series of emails.. the clip on the front touch screen clip broke where the ribbon clips in from the main board. So Anycubic sent me a new main board, a new front Touch screen (had me keep the 2K LCD screen they sent to me) and two new fans as they were both making noises (I installed the lower fan (that vents the electronics chamber but have not been able to install the "filter" fan from the resin chamber yet as I am not figuring out how to do. So, I followed the instructions for installing the main baord for the Photon too. But now I got a white lit up blank "front LCD touch" screen on the front of the Photon.. so I can't even test the rest of the installations with the main board and the 2k LCD screen. ? 翻譯年糕

OK - I have watched the video and read the instructions, but I still cannot quite fathom what I am supposed to see in the calibration print. Is it best at 9, 8, 7 or what? Someone who gets it please help.

Some of you may know how much I said how great and happy I was with the Anycubic Photon S :) And I was whilst it worked I now turn to you again for help.

I bought a Photon from Ali Express, new from their official store in March, it worked for about 3 months and then I encountered a problem where it would stop printing at random points during a print, I contacted Anycubic tech support did all the tests they asked of me and evnetually they sent me a new mainboard which I thought was very fast.

It has now been weeks since I got the new mainboard and each step forwards I take something else seems to arise as a problem, this is the list so far, it still stops randomly when printing, it now gets so hot it vapourises the resin ( I believe this to be very dangerous, and also as in the image there is an issue with the light.

My worst fears came true as today I recived this message from tech support

"I have tried to apply for a change of machine to the store manager, but unfortunately failed."

Which I am assuming if they cant help me it means tough :(

Any help is massivly appreciated :)

*Updated* with new image. I am now aware that basically if I cannot get the printer to work "tough luck we got your money" :)

So far, as fast and good the tech supprt has been, none of my problems have been fixed in fact I am encoutntering more problems as I attempt to carry out their instructions.

Hello fellow Photonsters! After 4 failed attempts on my first try, I found out about the Flint Read method and gave it a go. I was finally able to get it to stick to the build plate and got these mini Benchies.

Question: Following the instructions, I can’t seem to get the plate to go any lower. It seems to stop to a point (the grunt sound on the video) but the plate could still rotate.

I just took a chance, tighten the screw and hit print which resulted these mini Benchies which I think came out pretty well.

Any thoughts?

*Sorry for the dim lighting*

So, the first time FEP changes. I noticed a loss in detail and some fail in the prints. I thought it was bad cleaning, as most problems come from this, but I started to print. Due to small cracks I got a resin leak on the screen, but not much. I had a Kapton on the edges of the screen, following the instructions of the guys. I followed the Anycubic video manual for FEP changes, taking a good look at the tension, listening to the pitch and feeling with fingers. I changed the FEP after 180 miniatures - 1L body resin passed. My printer is great again for printing.

Cleaning resin on the screen.

1. Do not be nervous

2. Clear the screen well with IPA

3. Soak them and put them in the area

4. Gently use a spatula (without sharp edges) to scrape the remains of cured resin on the screen. I had to soak 5 times and scratching above the soaked wipe avoiding scratches. Be patient. Dont put too much pressure wile scraping.
Hope this helps to you all.
In my case, after all this, no re-calibration was needed.
