Pretty much click and print at this point. Primed Anycubic Green with ChituBox slicer @.030 layers. Two radiators and an intake duct, both for a ship model.

Zero experience a week ago, this is a piece of cake now.

Save Pangolin by amaochan @ Thingiverse . All parts reduced to 35% of the original to fill the plate. Shifted every other part sideways to enable support. Clicked nicely together after printing & curing.

As i've read so far it seems some have difficulties to know where exactly supports are needed.
It's cause you have to think upside down.

Slicers also do not catch necessarly all points where supports are needed.
So adding manually supports is sometimes necessary.

I thought about a easy way for those not very familiar with 3D how to see where slicers maybe miss.

Load your file in the slicer.
Incline it to the degree you think it should be printed.
Then move your viewport the way you see the model from under it.
Now step by step, 1mm, turn z-axis to minus.
Slowly your model model stick out under the "plate".
As soon you see a spot of your model not connected tò the rest it a island which needs a support.
After you added auto-supports check if those islands you've seen as mentioned before got supports.
If not, add them manually.

Hope managed to describe it understandable.

Large square messes (neither match the file nor anything I’ve printed before, I use circles) and supports giving up? What’d I do wrong?

Base suction?

Edit: As y'all aren't reading what other folk have previously commented, I'm gonna just close this post and try printing with a new file and an incline.

This is not a moan, just a discussion point .. I'm putting together a new RPG for my wargaming group, a murder mystery based in a hospital so I needed some doctors and nurses (ye ye lol) On recommendation I headed over to Heroforge, and it looks great and I could create some minis that would work and have variation in the poses. At checkout I saw the 9.99 a figure per pose and clicked ill just have the model and print it myself ... and the price didn't change .. wow , 9.99 a figure. I ended up not bothering as I could buy metal cast minis for less that that. I do get if your not bothered about variation, you could just buy one pose and print 200, so they need to make money and protect themselves, but the whole point for me was the variations. You guys seem to use them a lot, am I missing something ? as I say, not a bash, the minis are great and the site is well done.

It's hard to know which adhesion, layer misalignment, Z wobble, separation thumps, screw reversal clicks etc come from what source. The whole mechanical mechanism is a bit 'cut-price' and lets the otherwise nicely made machine down IMHO. I am thinking of an upgrade to replace the whole Z slide with twin square rails. No irreversible mods required, can use existing blue parts. The leadscrew has a lot of backlash too, I am thinking about a simple spring-loaded brass/bronze anti-backlash nut so that each layer is more likely to be precisely the right thickness. I looked at ballscrews but it seems in tiny sizes and pitches like this there is still some backlash, but I suppose very expensive fully ground ones might have some preload. I'll let you know how I get on, I have ordered the bits...(Nut, Slides, Al Plate etc). ANY COMMENTS on the Z Leveller idea? The screws would be tight in the base, spin the thumb-nuts up to touch the underside of the top plate and tighten nuts above....that's the plan.

Had a blast working on this commission. Did the modelling & print, and character concept & direction credit goes to the client. Printed using anycubic green resin with standard settings and primed using Army Painter uniform grey primer.
