1) Does the example cube stl that comes with the printer actually need supports? The manual says it's optional
2) What size USB will this printer read from?

I'm seeing people mention Prusa slicer here for the Photon. I guess people use it for the auto-supports, save as an STL, then import to ChituBox for the .photon file?

My anycubic photon just arrived today from Amazon. I mostly unboxed it but won't be leveling until tomorrow. Then I probably won't print until Sat, since apparently cleanup is a nightmare. However, I was kinda bummed because the clear-green resin I was supposed to get as part of my purchase wasn't included with the printer. Naturally, the first thing I figured I'd print would be the cube, but since I only have the grey resin... would those settings be different? I mean, not for nothing, but I haven't really even begun to research settings, but I'm hoping the settings for the built in test cube will work...

Is there a file size limit the printer can load? I made a stl but when putting the flash drive in it just sat there loading for a age before I could press the print page and it just loaded blank prints?

I've browsed I can't find anything to help.
Got a new photon the original one, printed the test cube, all came out good. Did a second print of a model part, all came out good.
Since then 5 prints failed, I'm just left with a thin layer of resin on the fep and nothing on the build plate.
I'm using mesh mixer for modelling exporting it as an STL and using the slicer that came on the USB for supports and slicing.

I've not changed any of the slicer settings so it's still
0.05 layer thickness
8 normal exposure time
1 off time
50 bottom exposure time
8 bottom layers

Am I just missing something stupid?

I just want to be sure about something, I have seen a lot of stls for cookie cutters, while ressin is not food safe to the degree that you should not make a glass, if it is properly cleaned and cured, it should be just fine to use ressin printed cookie cutters, right?

EDIT: Seems I was wrong, I'll just uyse my i3 for that instead since PLA is food safe. I'll keep the post open for now, but please dont just post things like "no", it has been done, but feel free if you have more details or reasons for yes or no .
