Stynylrez through an airbrush. it goes on so smooth.

Chris Berkley
2020-03-03 10:58:47

I just use krylon

Cody Cody
2020-03-03 10:59:00

Dominic St-Onge absolutely this

Dominic St-Onge
2020-03-03 11:00:19

this is straight through the airbrush, no dilution necessary.

Clark Paints
2020-03-03 11:03:05

Rustoleum

Siva-Jack Sernvongsat
2020-03-03 11:03:45

This one is my favorite its for Resin Garage Kits so it works well on the resin prints https://volksusastore.com/webstores/hobby/index.php......

Hutch Heberer
2020-03-03 11:04:04

What all do I need to airbrush. I have negative knowledge on anything about this type of stuff lol

Christian Mendez
2020-03-03 11:06:44

Hutch Heberer ;airbrush and a air compressor is all you technically need; however , you will want flow improver and airbrush thinner or distilled water.

Christian Mendez
2020-03-03 11:09:02

Depends what your priming. If you are using it on tiny miniatures with a lot of detail; airbrush is your beat option . I use Vallejo primer. If you doing larger prints; I just use krylon spray primer

Brendan Wood
2020-03-03 11:22:37

Vallejo Airbrush black

Phez Darryn Stanmore
2020-03-03 11:38:02

I'm the devil, and I use the cheapest Matt Black acrylic rattle can I can find. I have always done this with every model I have ever made, and it's worked out pretty good so far.

Jacob Hale
2020-03-03 11:42:20

Ultra flat camouflage by krylon, that entire line is amazing for mini painting since I dont airbrush.

Chris Roberts
2020-03-03 11:43:14

Krylon

Chris Roberts
2020-03-03 11:44:24

Clark Paints the rustoleum I have is really good for rattle can primer but man does it stink for a while.

Tim Kline
2020-03-03 12:04:28

I usually use Krylon too unless I want to do a special color base coat, then I'll use Army Painter.

Jason Edward
2020-03-03 12:10:02

Stynylrez

Jason Edward
2020-03-03 12:11:25

Hutch Heberer I also use it from a brush and it works great.

James Woods
2020-03-03 12:12:41

Gamesworkshop seer grey.

Sam Griffiths
2020-03-03 12:16:26

Rust-Oleum matte grey.

Rob Prince
2020-03-03 12:21:37

Depends on what you are painting in all honesty. Black primer for a more dark tone, grey for a muted tone or white for a brighter tone.

Black = Home Depot black 99 cent primer (matte)
Grey = Rust-oleum matte grey
White = Home Depot white 99 cent primer (matte)

Hutch Heberer
2020-03-03 12:24:18

Christian Mendez what airbrush setup do you use? Or recommend that might not break the bank hah

Hutch Heberer
2020-03-03 12:24:59

Rob Prince you just use the spray can method?

Rob Prince
2020-03-03 12:27:44

Yes Hutch . Spray about 9 to 12 inches away as not to overload the miniature/object. 2 light coats is better than 1 heavy coat.

Rob Prince
2020-03-03 12:28:51

And never, ever, use a gloss paint for a primer. You are just asking for headaches and heartaches...

Christian Mendez
2020-03-03 12:30:30

If you are just going to use it to prime and base then a badger patriot is excellent. They about 100 bucks. You can get an air compressor for like 75-80. If you want to do detail then you will want something like an iwata eclipse (180). These are us ually the top two starter brushes. I still have them. I’m only now looking into getting a steenbeck for ultra fine detail and iv been using an airbrush for 4 years . Airbrushing has a much bigger learning curve than brushes but once you start gettting the Hang of them; they looks so much cleaner. No brush strokes ??

Christian Mendez
2020-03-03 12:33:47

I started this alien today. Still needs a lot of work but it’s almost all airbrush . Reason I show is cause ; it would of took me twice as long with Brush for this size of mode .

Ryan Tudor
2020-03-03 12:49:43

Army painter white works especially good for me priming for 3d resin prints.

William Tink
2020-03-03 12:50:23

If you have an airbrush, this is hands down the best primer ever made.

Zachary Istrin

Halfords white primer

Chris Holden
2020-03-03 15:56:06

Halfords black matt is brilliant. Or grey. White is ok. Black or grey then hit with white from above gives you basic zenith highlighting

Marcin Smoliński

Uli Sazma
2020-03-03 19:44:18

Phez Darryn Stanmore same here, but i use also grey and white ones. Depends on the mini.

Phez Darryn Stanmore
2020-03-03 19:45:04

Uli Sazma I do have to admit I do use some Gray depending on the model

Kevin Blewitt
2020-03-04 06:53:01

I use GW for whatever base I need, usually black. It's a bit more but I've always had luck with it.

Hutch Heberer
2020-03-07 14:23:48

You get all those options at Home Depot?

Justin Scott Larson
2020-03-08 10:34:49

What pressure do you use for they stynylrez? I've been doing a coat or two of diluted acrylic primer around 20psi in my 0.4 but I heard it needs higher. Just ordered some

Okay so I just bought a nice desk to print/paint on. I'm not artistic in any sense but want to try a new hobby out. What is a good paint selection to start for a newbie?
