Based on what I'm seeing it seems like my LCD screen is getting glitchy. It happens on the right side and it's happened with three different prints from two different usb sticks. And as I'm sitting here watching it run a print empty, every so often it does expose too much. You can see in the first picture of the screen what it is supposed to be printing but every once in awhile I get something like in the other pics of the screen. Since I've tried 3 different files on two different USB sticks I'm leaning towards the LCD screen going out.
Do you guys agree with me that that is probably an accurate assumption?
I kind of thought it would last a little bit longer since I've only had my printer since about the middle of December.
You guys think I'm right and thinking is the LCD screen going bad?

Last advices before I open a ticket.
I got a new photon and wasnt able to print anything with it. It does the weirdest of thing.

It runs any files without problem. Which is good...as long as I dont have resin in the vat.

If there is resin in the vat, it will do layer one, raise the bed, place the bed in position to start layer 2.
Then reboot (shutdown, restart) to homepage, and forgot it ever started printing. Power supply stay ON the whole time.

I tryed 3 USB stick, 2 are 3.0, one is 2.0, 3 files containing the test cube, loaded 3 times from anycubic website. Got only one file on each drive. Already upgraded to firmware 4.2.18
This error doesnt seem very common, and the FAQ has limited instructions regarding this problem. I'm at a lost here ?

Hi all, thanks for the acceptance to the group.

So, I'm a total noob at the 3D lark but I bit the bullet and scored a Photon LCD which arrived today. Everything seems okay; UV Test appears fine, levelled the plate using the Flint Method etc. Can't do a Test Print yet as awaiting cleaning stock from eBay and the machine is @ -1000 C cos it's bloody cold out.

USB Stick was DOA. Well, the Photon saw it but the PC? It killed two of the USB slots on the PC but a reboot sorted that.

I have another USB stick that I've FAT32 formatted and D/L'ed then C&P'ed the Sticky Files (File_English_Photon.Rar - version 1) your page recommended into it.

Now, the Q's: From Anycubic.com I D/L'ed & installed "Workshop V2.1.20" and from the sticky I installed "Slicer64". What's the difference between the two? Are they the same sort of thing or what? Do either of them do what Tinkercad does?

I also note that my Photon is Firmware V4.2.17 - do I need to update it?

Hello, so after a series of succcesful prints I somehow cant get o gootd one now. Firts there were some artefacts that werent a part of the model, it was in a shape of a rectangle or square. I changed FEP and USB that iam using for print. It seem that artifacts are gone. But since then it will just stick to the FEP or split in the process of print. Firts layers are good, I recalibrate Z0 I tried add suports. Where can be the problem?

HELP REQUESTED.

this morning, the motor started making a thin grinding sound when peeling. when lifting, it's normal. also my fan is just idling instead of running at full speed when printing.

i have left a vat full of anycubic skin inside the printer for 3 days. printer covered up, no sunlight.

could vapours stick to the things? or should i prepare to buy a new motor? don't care about the fan. or is it a power issue?

other than that, there's no spillage, fep is good, the usb doesn't seem to have issues, temperature is optimal, etc.

had a failed print where the printer just stopped mid print. it raised the buildplate for a while, then back down to print level and stopped. file was sliced in chitu and validated with validator.

trying another file now.

free stl for who helps me out.

Good day,

I just tried to update the firmware of my Photon to 4.2.19. I pressed the update.LCD on the screen. i was hearing some beeping and then the screen turned off. Now whenever i try to turn on the printer with or without the usb stick, only the red light of the axis is turning on. The screen is dead. Any tips?

HELP! So lately something strange has been happening with my Photon. I start a print and at random times the printer beeps like the print is done when it isn't. I can't resume the print, so it ends up as a failed print. Sometimes it prints for just a few minutes before the beep and failed to finish print, sometimes it prints for several hours then fails. I was using Chitubox to slice, but tried using the Anycubic slicer as well and it's failed with .photon files from both slicers. My last idea is that maybe the USB stick is starting to fail on me and when it fails, it shuts down the print mid-print? Anyone else run into this issue? how did you resolve it? Thanks!

Can someone help me with an issue I'm having? I haven't printed in a couple months and when I stopped everything was working fine. I just attempted to print and my machine doesn't appear to see the files I have on the usb drive. It just shows black squares where it usually shows the files. Does this mean my usb is dead? If so do I need to do anything special to replace it?

First printer, first issue.
Got a brand new photon, not a fauxton, nor a S.
The chinese USB stick, doesn't work right of the bat. Nor on the photon nor on my laptop.

I bought a new stick, reformated to FAT32 and added the lattice cube file directly from Anycubic website.

I tried to print the file and thats where the fun begin.
The printer froze and restarted just after the first layer.
I updated the firmware from V4.2.14 to V4.2.18.
And the problem repeated itself a second and third time.
Close the whole thing and went for a walk.

What do I do now?
