Anybody have any experience of making silicone moulds with non castable resins?

Does it just not set properly? Is there any kind of primer I can apply to prints to make them castable?

I see a lot of talk about replacing the screen, but what about the LED?

I've been having a lot of problems with printing lately. I've been running some exposure tests, and that seems to indicate that my Monocure White (with a bit of Monocure Flex mixed in) has an exposure time that might be as high as 40 - 50 seconds per layer. That's pretty far off the values given in the resin exposure document, so I was wondering if my light source is dying on me.

Just for balance for the new owners; my personal experience of a year of ownership. There is a lot of stuff repeated as lore on here whereas my experience is very different:

I don't heat my resin and print in an unheated garage

I level using paper

I use Anycubic Black resin.

I fill my vat right up regularly and dip the ball joint (The horror!)

I tension my FEP with a bottle cap (No tuning)

I do have a Z rail upgrade as I had significant z-wobble

My prints only fail when I mess up the settings

Learn to level your machine properly

Learn to use the exposure test

Learn how to hollow,vent, angle and support your stuff

Faster prints are not better prints

Clean up properly after a print fail

Hold the bed when handling not the head

Always wear gloves and eye protection

Always have paper towels, IPA and space available around

Don't drink and print

Practice, learn, have patience, try again.

It's worth learning a CAD package (Fusion 360 in my case)

Do you guys ever redo a print when a small bit breaks? The Razor Crest's right gun snapped when it came off the build plate and into the alcohol vat. Was a LOT of Resin and also a 10 hour print

I just submitted a design to myminifactory but have no idea what to charge.

What would be a fair price for this? Is $5.99 reasonable?

It's a gothic tealight thingy that you can put pics in or whatever. Most pics are resin but it does print well scaled up on fdm. TIA

Hey y'all. Just noticed something, wanted to know the group think. Going through my first round of routine maintenance and noticed some things.

Original photon owner, maybe four or five months now. Bought brand new.

My lead screw has a very small amount of play, maybe a millimeter or two in any direction. This is especially noticeable when the bed is at home position. The actual blue metal bed plate holder does not move when traveling up and down.

Is that normal? I never noticed it before but I also never thought to check either.

Also, I have a very very small several pixel wide tiny bit of resin or something cured on the screen. I've tried the lens wipes. Can I wipe it down with a microfiber cloth that has ipa on it or will that damage the screen?
