Anyone know what type of plastic comes from the UV resin? Looking to glue a model, the model glue I ordered is going to be a couple of weeks. Only liquid glue with a brush I can find is Gorilla Glue. All the Gorilla Glue's have a warning not to use with certain plastics. Anyone use Gorilla Glue on their Photon prints?

For all of the Shop owners here:

How much do you usually charge for miniatures / Other Printed Goods?

Im trying to figure if its worth buying some merchandising rights from Patreon artists and selling their minis / as well as printing custom cookie cutters and whatnot.

Theres so much to factor in between Cost of Resin material, Cleanup Supplies, Consumables, Merchandising Rights fees, and Time to print.

Whats a good balance / asking fee? what about if the Prints are Pre-painted / just Primed?

Got my photon set up and leveled everything. There was no resin included, despite what i have seen online so i ordered some. Test print 1 = failed and i learned all about the differences in settings for the different color/brands of resin.

So, i use the google doc and use the setting for grey Anycubic resin. Starts printing and its actually going. Everything looks great. Check back a few hours later and this happened. It snapped at the connection to the base. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

The current setting is:

layer thickness: .05mm

Normal exposure time : 14

off time : 1

Bottom Exposure: 100

Bottom layers : 6

Thanks in advance guys!

Don't know what everyone has under and in their printer workstations. I've mostly seen trays and had trays everywhere myself. I saw a video where Uncle Jessy had a custom silicone mat and I figured there had to be something similar out there. Enter the very large, very cheap silicone baking mats. I ordered one to try and it's so so much better than the trays I had before. I now have them under my 2 photons and cleaning station. Just wipe clean with IPA and a shop towel or after all the work is done shine a UV flood light and simply pick up and pooled resin. Such a quality of life upgrade, I'd thought I'd share.

My son has the Ender 3. (He bought it with grass moving money last year.) We are considering upgrading to the Photon as a 14yr old bday gift. He mainly prints D&D miniatures and the Ender 3 is ok, but leaves a lot to be desired. I'm concerned about the resin safety in the house. We do not have a garage. Live in central Florida, so not too cold or hot right now. Could we set up the printer on a covered screened in porch? Does anyone do that? Is there a recommended room temp & humility for the resin printers?

Hey Photonsters! Question about combining resins, has anyone ever successfully gotten a marble effect on any of their prints?

Okay guys, I got 3 Printers and all of them are having issues! I know what's needed for Printer #1(new LCD) so lets talk a bit about Printer #2! An OG Photon.

It's been a good workhorse for awhile now but I'm getting some weird behaviour out of it, not print failures as you might expect. I'm getting resin residue on the LCD after every print, easy enough to scrape away of course but it's not like the FEP has a hole in it or anything as I've just recently replaced it.

I'm also getting resin curing on the FEP, the weird thing is that this isn't due to failures, the parts still print out and where the resin cures on the FEP doesn't seem to always line up with where things are being printed, and isn't consistent between prints, even when using the same file.

Last but not least, the actual prints are also being affected as per the first picture, the bottom side(facing the build plate) has all these little random resin flaps sticking to it. As with the Resin Curing to the FEP it's not consistent between prints with the same file. Also the tops of the prints (facing away from the build plate) are a bit "muddy", some of the detailing isn't quite as sharp as I'd expect as per picture #2, with the left print coming from Printer #2 and the right print coming off my 3rd printer.

One last thing, I tried updating from 4.2.3 to 4.2.18, and when I run the UV Exposure test(which I do before every print) it shows a fail, bunch of mildly flickering lines about 2/3rds of the time, while back in 4.2.3 it still doesn't show any issues.

So seems like the LCD might be on it's way out from what I can figure? What do you guys think and thanks in advance!

Been loving the quality of this printer so far, but having some annoyances with my prints. I keep getting areas that have like a globs of resin. Seems to happen in the support areas. Like Rick and Morty look great from the front, but had a big glob in Morty's hair, I sanded most of it in the pick. Same deal with Rick and the back bottom of the lab coat, and legs. The little sword I made did the same around the handle. The side opposite of the supports is perfect, while the back side seems to have like an extra layer of resin on it. I gets the points where the supports touch the object will need some touchup, but I shouldn't be getting those thick globs. Could this just be the nature of clear resin? Or maybe my exposure times need adjusting. I been using the Prussia Slicer to add supports, then slicing in chitubox, and running the photon validator. Any suggestions?

Just tried elegoo grey for the first time. Printed an excellent millenium falcon. Detail is unbelievable and it never smelled. Odor is less than anycubic eco resin believe it or not
