Edit: It is set of starting lanes for gaslands (a wargame). It is happening, even when I tilt them to avoid suction. It has also happened with other prints I've done. I:m using elegoo grey. 6 bottom layers, 60 seconds. 0.05 layers 12sec.

After leveling using the Flint method, this is what I got. The raft properly sticks to the plate (it is very thin, though). The issue is with the actual print sticking to the supports. But it only happens towards the front of the build plate. The back is attached to the supports, but flat surfaces are uneven. This is happening now that I'm using elegoo Grey resin. I didn't had this problem with anycubic clear green... Halp!

Hey all. I've been getting decent prints but the last few attempts have had partial fails. Not worried as I can fix that. However, two brand new FEP sheets were wrecked because the failure seemingly cooked it to the screen to the point where I can't lift the vat off. I can't pull too hard cause I don't want to rip the screen out so I pull sideways. When it finally gives it rips a hole in the sheet or at lease dimples it making it unusable.

Anyone have this happen? There's not a hole in the sheet to cure resin to the bottom because it's brand new and the first one once I got it off it had a huge stretched spot but no holes. Second one I had a mess cause I ripped two holes straight through it trying to get it off.

Is it just creating that much suction to the screen?

I only have one FEP left!

Some thoughts on my new AnyCubic Wash & Cure station.

The Good:

The concept is great. Having an all in one unit that can wash and cure and be super flexible in doing so is a great dream. We all know how messy this can get and within the first 24 hours I can see how it reduces the mess in a big way.

The Size is great. Bigger than my sonic cleaner. Holds more fluid (IPA, Mean Green, Super Clean). The inner plastic reservoir with sealed top is great. The fact that you can support numerous Resin printers other than the Photon series with little to no modifications and a basket is a huge plus.

One of my concerns was the amount of turbulence associated with the basket being so close to the impeller. To combat this all I dd was put more liquid in the tub and it seemed to lower the turbulence down enough where it didn't break delicate miniatures with extended swords. Scientifically I am not sure I understand the physics of it but it seems to be accurate.

CONS

Ok here is where the machine fails to meet my needs. The cycle times are rubbish. 6 minutes max for both wash and cure. Why 6 minutes? I did 5 tests of washing with the mean green maxed in volume. It took 12 minutes before I felt anything was clean (in the basket). 18 minutes and it was clean. Same result with IPA. I would rather have a timer I could set to the time I want instead of 2, 4 or 6 minutes.

As for curing. The lights are NOT ENOUGH. One strip of lights and one bottom section of light required 5 cycles of curing (30 minutes) to get the items to cure fully. My UV nail dryer has 60w of power in a tighter area 4 bulbs and reflectors everywhere. It takes me 30 minutes in that machine to fully cure, sometimes 60 minutes (depending on the rotation of the parts. The rotating plate is cool, but the amount of light is just terrible. They should have made the entire riser arm full of bulbs. I can see how it would hold 7 rows of lights. Add some reflective material in the cover and I am sure it would cut down the curing process to a single session with user controlled time.

Such a great concept. Such a fantastic try at a first run. A few models from now this might be a winner but to me, this is just not up to par. Granted this is the opinion of someone who has only been printing with resin for a year, and has both the Photon and the Epax 3D. All I have ever used is a sonic cleaner and a UV nail light. I love the wash. It could more powerful. I hate the cure. Needs to be much more powerful. The timer...it is just crap. What was Anycubic thinking. I give it 2 stars out of 5.

Thanks for the add. Looking forward to learning more about resin printing. Already learned I’m over-curing my prints. They turned orange ?

So, I've had to change 2 LCDs in under 2 weeks and I couldn't figure out why. Everything was leveled, resin strained every time, fep cleaned every time, etc.

I finally figured it out and wanted to let you guys know. I received some Siraya Fast grey resin that had some semi cured resin in it already, right out of the bottle. How did I figure this out? I strained the reain before it went into the vat and found it in the cleaned strainer.

Has anyone ever seen this?

Does anyone know if it's possible to create a cast an aluminum part starting from a resin print? Going to look into later but I've seen people post about jewelry they've cast in metal using resin positives. Wondering about the process difficulty and costs

Not sure if I’m asking this question correctly but here goes. I just got my regular photon machine and made my first print with the anycubic gray resin. The first print i did turned out good but im wondering if it could be better. What exposure times should i be using for the layers? Heres pics of my first prints? Any general tips are appreciated for this newbie.
