Hello again , sorry for the second post in two days ! All those model for lord of hellas are come out perfect and i 'm very happy BUT , two of the "high temple" hasn not been printed ( they should have been 4 not two ) and of them only remained two resin "squares" fixed to the FEP ! what can it be ? The fep is damaged ? Bad leveling ? It's not the first time i it happens when i print multiple things ! Thank you again !

Hey guys! So I'm a leather worker and we have a convention in a few months and I realized I can make BELT BUCKLES!!! lol
Has anyone had any luck with making stuff like that that will hold up?

So when you guys go to recycle your ipa, what do you use to filter it after you've cured the residual resin.
Because I grabbed a coffee filter sheet as nearest to hand but I want it too filter before I retire....

Hi, one of my printers has started acting up again.

I have 2 Photon printers. Both are around the same age but the one that gives me issues from time to time is a month older. I set it up this year in January. I started having issues with it a week or so ago where every time that I printed something I’d have to clean the resin vat. There was always some sort of artifact in there stuck to the FEP film. So in between prints I’d drain the vat, scrape off anything that needed to be scraped off, cleaned with IPA and started a new print.

I decided yesterday I’d check the FEP tension as there were some screws on the bottom that looked loose. I found the tension was at about 190hz to I tightened to around 300hz and printed again last night.

Needless to say my print was not good. ?

Seems like I had these issues before and I swapped out the FEP film and everything went back to normal. I can try that again but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas.

As you can see in the pics there is a lot of extra resin everywhere (especially near the bottom) but I am still getting some nice crisp details. That picture with the space ships the middle model is pretty much destroyed.

Both my printers print the same files. They are on the same firmware and right next to each other.

I do plan on swapping out the film tonight but wanted to see if anyone else had any ideas. Is it normal that the FEP becomes looser after use?

hola gente, tengo un dilema con la photon, la impresion me salio como en la foto, y escucho cuando imprime que como le cuesta despegarse de la cubeta cuando levanta la cama de la impresión, que puede estar mal aca? la resina sacudi bien, no es vieja, limpie con alcohol todo antes de usar.

Prueba disminuyendo el tiempo de exposición a razón de 0.5 segundos cada vez.

Try with 45° angled. Worked good for me and you can avoid the suction due to the hollowed modell.

Creo que el problema son los soportes que son demasiado finos y no aguantan el peso del modelo. Prueba a imprimir con el modelo directo a plataforma, sin base y sin soportes.
Si no es que necesitas más espacio, para otros modelos, es una buena manera de ahorrar tiempo y resina. Suerte...

Firmware on the photon needs to be updated, it is called 'frame shearing'.
I updated to 4.2.18 and it fixed the issue
