Another question I have is about alcohol. The machine came with two bottles of 70% which I'm not convinced is cleaning the prints properly. I've seen the recommended 90% for sale but I've also seen 100% too.
Is 100% better or is it too much and I should stick to 90%?

Hi hi! I have another question ❤️

My prints are like this all the time (thinner closer to the back of the machine, thicker towards the opening), sticking more to one side than other. I’m very thorough with my leveling but I guess I didn’t level the bed correctly?

Any hints or tips? I tried both ways to level the bed and in any case it still prints but I’m certain it’s not how it’s meant to print.

Thanks again and thanks for your patience, I’m learning lots from you!

How much difference is there between exposure setting for the Photon and Fauxton? Since they have a different light sourceI assume the Photon S setting won't work. I am still trying to dial in the correct settings on my new machine but it is difficult when all the documentation is for different machines and I only have a vague of where to balance negative space vs positive space.

If I am reading my test prints correctly, big if, then with anycubic grey at 50u 11s exposure with 8 60s bottom layers works but it is lower than what vi de in the charts and I have not really gotten anything that seems correct for 20u. Any words of wisdom or links to those words?

So after my slight struggles yesterday trying to get a print it seems changing the usb dongle and putting the model back through the slicer has done the trick. I'm absolutely blown away by the quality this machine prints at. And thanks again to those who helped me out yesterday.

Yet another dragon finished :D This time, it's the Elemental Queen from The Lost Dragons kickstarter. Printed on an Anycubic Photon, at 60%, making her a Gargantuan creature. Obviously very Tiamat inspired. Fantastic model. Printed with PrimaCreator Value light grey resin, at 0.05.

EDIT: Looks like it's already available in the store: https://www.3dprintedtabletop.com/shop/elemental-queen-dragon/ 翻譯年糕

LAYER SHIFT FIX

I've recently had a problem with layer shift on parts of my print. They appear to be inconsistent, but noticeable on a print with a full print bed, and most noticeable on large flat surfaces. Doing a search in this group, it is an issue that comes up regularly - nobody uses the search function for previous posts on the issue. What did strike me was the number of random suggestions offered by the same people, including firmware revision, FEP, levelling, star sign, recent blood sacrifices, you name it. (Have you tried rotating the printer anticlockwise before a job, and have your dog sit facing the door to ward off spirits?)

The answer is out there, and it's a pretty straight forward z-wobble fix that doesn't require a machined z- axis reinforcement or self-leveller.

It does require a partial disassembly of the unit to adjust the eccentric nut in the centre of the linear bearing. I performed this procedure and the shift has gone.

Not sure if this is permited as I used multiple printers including fdm, feel free to remove if so. More printed parts for Troglokhan. Printed on a few different machines, those are Creality CR-10S, Creality Ender-3 Pro, Creality LD-002R, Anycubic Photon-S & a Sovol SV-01.

Everytime I print my build plate loosens, prints are 100% perfect now, but I have to relevel instead of running back to back prints. Background: I was an aircraft mechanic on F-18s in the Marines, and have a degree as an Automotive technician.....so I know how tight a bolt needs to/can be tightened. Is this common in these machines?
