Hello Makers :)

New project "Treebeard" ongoing with FDM printers (More than 200h for 55 cm) and i can't wait to end it so...Anycubic Clear Resin and 21h later... Photon did a little one :)

Photon is 5 weeks old and less than 3L eat, i'm still impressed by this little Printer.

I'm full size on Photon lol... 70ml volume for 0.025 layer size.

To be honest, i did several test at 0.02 > 0.04 > 0.05 and i can't find difference lol

Sharing some photos after printing > Curing by Sun > Primer.

FDM should end all parts this evening... It's fun and would like to share this :)

What are the health risks of resin? in other words what health issues does it cause?

I know its toxic etc. I read a lot of posts and articles saying use gloves, avoid skin contact etc. But i cant find any info what health issues it actually causes

recently moved, setting up maker space again and looking at getting a nice vented extractor. read some where that a carbon filter isnt enough to stop the finer particles. so ill else i can use and vent it outside

Hi all, I was curious to know what slicing program any Photon-S users use. Currently i use the default slicer.

Also i am curious to knoe if anyone has used ESun, Sparkmaker or Crealty resin with there machine. I currently use Anycubic for my resin needs.

I am asking about these specific companies as i work in China most of the year and they are readily available and moderately priced.

I am sorry if this has been asked before, as i did a search in the group and could not find anyrhing for the Photon-S. Thank you for your time all.

Something different than my Trolls, Gnomes, Fairies and all lovely bestuary lol...

Used sketchfab to find free model > Online Converter FBX to OBJ > Chitubox (10cm long + 12s Expo) (Anycubic Yellow)

It's really fun to do ! I destroyed some details during clearing but it's so cool :)

Classic Photon4Ever (or at least for the moment !)

Greetings, and thank you for allowing me into the clubhouse. Seasoned FDM enthusiast with 4 printers on my bench and 3 more I've sold off. Decided to pull the trigger on a Photon (not S, obviously) on sale on Amazon for $430, plus a $25 coupon. Due to arrive Monday. Here to observe and learn. Will go looking for FAQ's, etc. before I start getting inquisitive. Excited to expand my repertoire!

FYI, current FDM lineup: Fabrikator Mini, Prusa MK3 (w/ MMU2 and S upgrades sitting nearby but not yet installed), Folgertech FT-5, Anycubic Chiron. (Past: Monoprice Makerselect i3 v2, Trium Delta, Prusa MK2S)

If anyone cares to offer n00b advice, I'll take it. Otherwise, I'll just get to reading and following along, and try to post productively. Cheers.

Hello guys,

I’ve been experimenting a bit with pigments (specifically the Tianfour Sparkmaker pigments from aliexpress) and I have to say that added to anycubic transparent resin they print beautifully.
The problem is that, if left for long exposed to the sun, they basically fade away (blue becomes green and then almost yellowish).

Have you found some good pigments to color the resin leaving it transparent?
Anyone who tried with pigments for epoxy resin?

Hello Makers,

Few weeks with the Photon Classic and still learning... Not all perfect, few failed but still happy ;)

I tried the Anycubic Yellow Clear resin and I wonder if after cleaning and cured there is a way to have the glossy effect (bright / translucent) back ?

I mean to retrieve the same texture on the model when it's just printed :)

Anyway, they will be primer/paint but... when it's printed, it's so cute !

Hello fellow makers, how much heat is dissipated from the printer as I want to keep it in a sealed enclosure while printing.

Went to the local makerspace and they showed me their Form 2 and we printed this sweet canopy for my drone. Its flexible but more rigid than TPU and reacts to blacklight really nice. This is the form 2 durable resin. What would be an equivalent resin for the Photon to get this type of result?
